Why I Call My Kids Monkeys

I think Andrew wanted to play upstairs with the Barie Dolls.

And because of this look, I am wrapped around his little finger and let him get away with too much. It's too fun having another boy around the house. I was so glad to have a boy after the three girls. I am exhausted with hairdo's and matching outfits and girl stuff. Boys are FUN!

Days Like Today....

Days like today:
*remind me of Washington
*make me want to move to a new city
*refresh my spirit
*make me feel like a child who needs to go outside to play in the puddles and send sticks down the gutter!

I love these days!

A Primary Musical

After a Year of Thought, Months of Planning, 2 Late Nights and Lots of Great Help, the Primary Talent Show was a Hit! Complete with:

Really Cool Signs

A Red Carpet

An Awesome Stage

A Cute Display Table

and Yummy Treats!

This night will be truly unforgettable. The Children were Amazing and that doesn't describe how special it was. It was humbling to watch the children step up on stage with confidence and enthusiasm. They testified to 200 people that they are Children of God.

When it was over, many people asked if I was glad that it was over. My response was "NO." It's like your wedding day. Months of anticipation and excitement and then it's over in a blink. Can't wait till next year!

Cute No Matter What

Jalyne now has to wear glasses for reading and school work.

Drama 'King'

Taylor's buddies in Mrs. Scyhowvics 4th grade class.

Taylor's class put together little skits in Drama based on broken fairy tales. His group came up with Boxerella with Taylor playing the character - Stepbrother-Macho Libre. I don't know! Despite the cheesiness of 4th graders, it was pretty funny.

Field Trip

The anticipation, the excitement of the day, the name tags, the school bus, the sac lunch. I love field trips. Today Jalyne's class went to The Museum of Natural History. What a fun place! I enjoyed everything except the python snakes and Eels.

Jalyne recently did a research project on Dolphins. She can name all the types and characteristics of Dolphins. This spotted dolphin was too cool.

I am SO Done!

Why do I allow the inside of my house to become an out of control playground?! We have created a backyard paradise for our children and they still horse around inside.

This morning I asked Taylor to go pick up the clothes on the his floor before he came downstairs. I saw that he was holding a real jr. sized metal golf club. I cringed and then told myself that I needed to tell him to put that away. Well, 5 seconds later I heard a big crash of glass.

He broke the Ceiling Fan Light Cover in our loft. URGGG! No allowance for Tay for the whole summer.

This is a picture of a dent that Tay's friend made with his head during a indoor game of basketball. Apparently the outdoor basketball court wasn't good enough!?

I am SO DONE! NO more sports in my house. NO more indoor soccer, and basketball, baseball, and golf! NO MORE!

Bees!!!!

During Spring Break 1000 Bees decided to migrate and make a resting place in a tree just on the other side of our view fence. Nathan and the girls were outside when Jalyne saw a bee. Seconds later 1000 bees came swarming. It looked like rain on the basketball court. I guess it got too hot and they were looking for somewhere to rest. They looked like a football all smushed together. This caused great excitement.

The Girls

Never Mind Mom and Dad

We repeatedly would beg my mom and dad for their piano. After years of being shut down, we found this great deal. I am really good at tuning out the loud noises from the kids. Now all they need are lessons. Any one want to sponser my kids with a piano scholarship?!:)

Pout-Pout Fish

'I'm a pout-pout fish
With a pout-pout face
So I spread the dreary-wearies
All over the place.
Blub. Bluuub. Bluuuuuub'

Andrew is addicted to this book. It is tooo cute! We read it 4-5 times each sitting.

Drew is Two

Happy Birthday Drewie!

A week before the big day we practiced blowing out the candles and we kept asking Andrew how old he was. Well, he would always say 1 which he only learned that week. In crunch time he did blow out his birthday candles and say he was 2! He was overjoyed by the cars cake.

Thanks Uncle Riel

My parents brought this back from their trip to the Philippines and visit with Riel in Korea.
Riel actually wore this jersey for the first few games. Are they not feeding you Riel? Well, Taylor wears it non-stop and walks around flipping through the KBL program. He absolutely loves it and the added bonus is that T's # this baseball season is 13. Very Cool!

Signing Time

It's signing time with Alex and Leah. Come and Play! This was an event Kylin could hardly wait for. You know the excitement that poses the question "Is it time to go see Rachel yet"? every 5 minutes.

Shark Reef

A last minute trip to the Shark Reef with friends. Andrew thought this was much better than taking a nap. He was sooooo excited! He has the best reactions. I love feeling the excitement of childhood through my kids.

The Price is Right

This was a fun way to start off Spring Break. 24 hours without my kids, a day in Cali, spending time with friends and having fun being crazy on the Price is Right! So my 12 year old dream of being on the Price is Right didn't come true but being behind the scenes was close enough. It was a blast. Thanks Monica!
