Corbyn's Spring Violin Concert

Corbyn had her spring concert this week. She was so excited! She was in a trio that performed a part in the concert. She did a great job and I am so proud of her. She can hardly wait for summer violin camp in June! She also is trying to earn money to buy her violin so she can always have it. She is so cute!

Freezer Jam

I have never made freezer jam before but I love Uncle Jerry's. So after my favorite blog (http://www.ourbestbites.com/) posted about freezer jam I thought I would give it a try. I made strawberry and blackberry, per Kenzie's request. We have tried one so far and it is really good! We may never go back to store bought again.

Easter

What a great Easter Weekend. We enjoyed conference, made sugar cookies, played conference bingo, the Easter Bunny came, we hunted for eggs twice, and had family over for Easter dinner. It ws a great time. We were even lucky to add Uncle Jeff and Aunt Peggy, and Aunt Steph to add to our already fun and awesome gang: Love you, Karl and Jamie Fam, Leigh & Dan fam, Dan & Angela Fam, Ang's sister Fam. The kids had fun and we all love spending time with family. Happy Easter!

Gotta love ourbestbites.com, I made these fun party gifts from their inspiration.

We do love our cousins! Fun! Fun! Fun!

Calvin gets his Life Badge

We are so proud of Calvin. He is a great son! He has been working so hard on earning his merit badges and working toward his Eagle. He is now a Life Rank! Go Calvin! He set a goal when he was 12 to earn his Eagle by 14. He will be elligiable for it 3 weeks before his 14th birthday and all he has left to do is his project. Way to go Calvin! Look at all those merit badges, go boy!

Easter Egg Hunt at This is the Place, Heritage Park

The kids and I had this great idea to go the the annual Easter Egg Hunt at This is the Place, Heritage Park. We were a few minuted late and thought it would be fun to see what it was like. They hid 12,000 eggs and a few were golden eggs that have money in them. There were free ice cream sandwiches, cotton candy, and popcorn. They lit a cannon full of candy every half hour, had face painting, and the Easter Bunny was there. The only problem was the 5,000 people that showed up to enjoy the fun, too. We found one egg, lucky Corbyn, and stood in line for an hour for free cotton candy. But it was an experience to remember, kind of like Black Friday and ToysRus, right, Calvin. The jury is still out if we will go next year but it was a fun experience and we got good exercise to go towards Calvin's Trek in June, since we parked a mile away. At least it was a fairly nice day outside and the kids had fun.

Clever Kenzie thinks she is the Statue of Liberty.
