Kid Free

During Brady's 3 weeks we did venture off and recruited our mothers to watch Owen while we had some kid free time. One occasion we took my brother, his friend, Brady's brothers(Asian and white), our sis-in-law's brother, and Gene cliff jumping. I was nervous about it but had such a great time. I jumped off more times than ever before and Brady was the tamest he has ever been, funny! We had a great time.

We also had a real date. I was excited for this one since it has been awhile and the first "date" we went on after O was born was super weird for me. I had been so consumed with our baby that I didn't know what to do on a date. I am pleased to report that this date was much better. We went to Spring Mountain Ranch and watched "damn yankees" while eating our subway. It was surprisingly good. The actors were quite talented and it was nice and cool and offered much needed relaxation.

San Francisco

Brady had a 3 week break from school and it was wonderful! We relaxed and hung out most of the time and enjoyed each other and our families. It was nice for me to get several mornings to sleep in. One of my favorite parts was our trip to San Francisco. I absolutely LOVE this city; we had such a great time. We made so many fun memories, see below :) Caution there are tons of pictures.

O loved looking out the window and did really well on both flights. I'm sure the other passengers were grateful for that.

This was my and O's first time on a subway.

This was our hotel. It was cute and in a perfect location. We were just outside the dragon gate of Chinatown. Check in wasn't until 4pm so we dropped off our stuff and walked around Chinatown for a while and went to a park.

We bought Owen this little drum and he loves it. It's one of his favorite toys now.

The parks there are kind of funny. The playground area has a fence around it with a sign that no adults are allowed unless accompanying a child. Good idea but I never thought about that being a law. We had over 4 hours to kill in Chinatown and it was pretty cold so below is how happy we all were to finally get into our hotel room.

I took this picture from the window of our room. My boys went for a walk in the morning to pass the time before we had to leave for the baseball game. One of the things I love about San Francisco is the public transit. It is so easy to get around and much cheaper than renting a car.

The baseball game was so fun and the stadium is awesome! It's right on the bay and there is an area to walk around near the water. It helped that the Giants won while we were there so the crowd was happy. We went to the "bring your dog" game so there were dogs everywhere and most were dressed up. It was a sight. The day we went they also let all kids under 14yrs run the bases after the game. Brady was so excited and he and O got to run the bases of a professional baseball field.

The next day was cable cars, Fisherman's Wharf, and we walked around the financial district. Those cable cars are pretty fun.

In the financial district we passed this statue of a mom and her baby so we took a picture.

The last day we were there we went to the museum of modern art and a botanical park. The museum was cool and there was a curtain of gold beads we walked through that Owen loved.

Hanging at the hotel picking up our luggage and getting ready to head to the airport.

This was outside the store next door to our hotel. I love this picture, it cracks me up!

Owen was wiped out from our trip and caught up on some zzs on the subway back to the airport. We got there early so we relaxed a bit before going through security.

Such a great trip!

Back to School

Back to school so Owen doesn't think his dad is a fool (from Billy Madison). This is the song Brady kept singing yesterday because today was back to school. We had the best 3 weeks together. So sad that its over, but the sooner he goes back the sooner its all over. I hear the 2nd year goes fast and is hard so here is to a great and hopefully fast year!

This was the first day of dental school last year, so fun!
