Saturday night was Rob and Taylor's wedding just outside of Mineral Wells. We took a party bus with Nick's high school friend group that left at 3:00 Saturday afternoon and didn't get back until after 1:00 on Sunday morning. I was pretty anxious about being gone that long with that crew and not easily having a way to come home. But I spent most of the time with Jenna and Vicki and enjoyed seeing some old college friends, and it really was a fun time and a beautiful wedding.
The party bus. We had fun and things were a lot more tame on the way to Mineral Wells than on the way home.
The Carroll High School classes of the late 90's and early 00's and the rest of us.
All week Vicki and I have been texting about how far it was to the wedding and making various jokes and references to The Oregon Trail. You can only imagine our absolute delight when we pulled up to the ranch after two White Claws and saw an actual Oregon Trail scenario. You're not gonna not take pictures. I mean... maybe if you're an upstanding adult you walk right past it, but we clearly are not.
Stoking the fire of Rob and Taylor's love. We both watched 1883 religiously, so we know what we're doing here.
I always enjoy Vicki. She's funny and fun and so laid back. If we aren't zipping down The Riverwalk in San Antonio on scooters, you can find us on The Oregon Trail. Or at the Grapevine foot spa we have affectionately named The Grapevine Four Seasons.
Bethany & Isaac- always love catching up with them
I had the most handsome date on the ranch!
So happy for Rob and Taylor! They seemed so excited and joyful and really had a beautiful celebration.
It was an interesting mix of Carroll HS people Nick grew up with and people I went to college with. It was fun seeing the Squillantes and the Waldrops all grown up.
Never without shenanigans. The guys all thought Mike Heldoorn was going to get beat up, but thankfully he did not.
Late night there was a Blair Witch Project video Vicki and I made walking back to the bus, rumors of a stolen table cloth that I never saw but heard about because the bus was flooding (from a glass of champagne), some bread and butter Vicki stuck in her purse and a candy and restroom stop at QT.
It really was a lot of fun! I'm so glad we were there to celebrate Rob and Taylor. None of us no how to act like actual adults at weddings because we never go to them anymore, so I guess we just revert back to acting like we did in our mid-twenties. When there's a covered wagon, old friends and lots of booze- they really leave you no option.
