Friends and Field Trips

Audrey was reunited with her good friend Lauren. Lauren and Audrey met in preschool in Calgary and attended school together until we moved. She and her family came to visit so we were lucky enough to meet up with them at Disneyland. We had a great day visiting with the family and enjoying the park together. You can see from the faces that it was a great reunion!!

Poor Brady!
As you can see this was not his favorite part of the day!

The weather has been amazing but we heard that rain was on the way. We decided to have family night down at the beach before the sun left for a while.

Best things on Planet Earth

Today Carter was a good sport as we had to run a few errands. On the way he said, "Mom do you want to know what the best things on planet Earth are?"

"Sure, what are they?"

"Cheese pizza, burgers, ring pops and Ichiban (this is what they call top ramen in Canada). Those are the best things on planet Earth"

You never know what is going on in that little guys head. Speaking of heads, take a look at the new buzz he and Brady got last night. Not sure I would say it's my favorite hair cut on planet Earth but it will be fun for the summer.

I discovered the best treat on planet Earth this week

Warning - These only lasted a day and a half at our house - Beware!!

Carter and Brady were playing hide and seek a few days ago and I came down the stairs to this:

I wonder how Carter is able to find him?!?!?

On St. Patrick's Day the kids in Audrey's class were talking about catching Leprechauns?!? Audrey decided to make a trap of her own, spot light and all. Surprisingly she didn't catch one but it was a good try!

Happy Birthday to.......

December through March is filled with a lot of family birthday celebrations. These past weeks we were able to celebrate my Dad, Audrey and Heather's birthdays. Here is a little look at the festivities:

Dad turned the BIG 60!!

Grandma Heyman, Barbara and Eric flew in for a birthday surprise
.

Dad wants to mark the occasion with a hang gliding experience in San Diego. We were going to go watch his big ride last weekend but the weather didn't cooperate (is that a sign it's not a good idea - just a thought). He's hoping to go try it sometime in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

This past week Audrey celebrated her 9th birthday!!

It was a school day so she started the day off with a chocolate croissant before heading out the door. She requested KFC (I really did offer choices I thought might be more exciting but that is waht she wanted) for lunch at school, then noodles with cheese and broccoli for dinner. Between School, Activity Days, Dance and all the yummy food she wanted she was a happy girl all day!

Audrey is excited to start a garden so she received all the gardening basics

Birhtday cake request - funfetti with chololate frosting

Two days later is was Heather's birthday. We decided to celebrate the 2 birthday girls with a bowling bash. Everyone had a fun time!
