Birthday Dog Card and Box

Hi friends, I have a fun little card and box to share with you today. My little grandson has been begging me to get him a dog for his birthday. He would say it's okay my mom would have to let me keep it since it was a gift and on and on. Just begging and begging. It was so hard not to get him a dog, but I knew his mom didn't want to have to deal with one. So I made him this little dog shaped card and a dog house treat box. He loved it. He still wished it was real but he loved it.
The dog is a Lori Whitlock file and the dog house is from Sweet Afton both from the Silhouette store. I did change the box slightly, the bone was supposed to be cut out of the house but I released it and then made it larger and cut it out of white paper and put it above the door with pop dots.

Treat or Gift Box

This cute little box is another Stampin Up die. It is the Baker's Box Thinlits die. The stamp is also from Stampin Up. I then colored the flowers in with water color pencils and used gamsol to soften the blend the colors. I then outlined the image with a cool gray copic marker.

Birthday Card

I love cards that are a little different and so when Lori Whitlock came out with these new designs I had to try them. The verdict...I love them! They are not hard to make at all and are so fun.

Happy Birthday Box

I'm BACK!!!! Africa was amazing and I loved the people and the animals but I am so glad to be back home!!! I am trying to get back to a normal life, well as normal can be now with all the craziness in the world. Spending time with family and catching up on some much needed crafting.

I made this little box for my sweet daughter in law for her birthday. I used the window box thinlets dies from Stampin Up. It was super fast and easy to do and I just love the detail on the box.

Africa

Hi friends!!  I'm so sorry it has been such a long time since I have posted anything.  We have been so busy!!!  We are doing well and adjusting to life in Africa.  Finally after 2.5 months getting used to driving on the other side of the road.  The people here are so wonderful, we just love them.
We went to a elephant preserve and got to meet all the elephants there and even go for a ride on them around the preserve.  There were two little ones that were so cute.  They try to keep them away from us with a railing because even though they are babies they are huge and don't realize they can hurt you.  They love to head bunt you and try to climb on you so until they are better trained they keep them a little separate from people.  They love people and love being touched so this video is of the littlest one Bela she so wanted to get to us.  We were holding her trunk and rubbing her but she wanted more.  I hope you enjoy it!

Hi Friends from Africa!!

Hi dear friends sorry its been a bit since I posted something but I have been so busy.  We did get to take a safari and that was such an amazing experience.  I am learning so many things and beginning to get used to driving on the wrong side of the road.  The food is wonderful and the people are amazing!  I truly love them.  Here are some videos and photos from our safari.

Where I have been...

So you may have been wondering where I have been lately...I am in Africa...I know right!  We got here April 2 2018 and will be here for 23 months serving a mission for our church.  So unfortunately I won't be doing any crafting but I will post some photos of this experience.  The people are wonderful and so full of love.  The children are so adorable and sweet!  This sweet lady and her little baby were at church today in fact she spoke.  I loved her dress and notice her fun shoes!  You can just see them peeking out from under her dress.
