On Monday we had a huge snow storm. It snowed all day long. We got about a foot of snow, which is a lot for Indiana. I decided to take Ainsley to play in the snow. She got a new snowsuit for Christmas, but hasn't had much use for it since we left Utah. So we bundled her up and took her outside to the playground across from our apartment. All she wanted to do was go on the "weee" or swings.

Last night Tom and I got to go on our Valentine's date. We ate at Red Lobster and then went to an Indiana basketball game. IU was playing Michigan State. Unfortunately, IU lost but we still had a good time. Thanks to Laura and Mike for watching Ainsley so we could have a night to ourselves.Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Update
I know I have been really bad at keeping up to date with what we are doing. Everything is going well for us, Tom has been enjoying his last semester of school. His schedule is much easier and so he is home a lot more and we love having him around. He and Ainsley have become best pals. Here are some pictures of some of the activities we've been up to:
A few weeks ago, we went to the NCAA Hall of Champions Museum in Indianapolis with some MBA friends, the Coltrins and the Newtons. The upstairs had lots of fun simulations and activities to do. Afterwards we went to the mall and out to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner.

We went to a Superbowl party with some other MBA friends. We were really dissappointed that our Indianapolis Colts didn't win. But they had a good season.

Ainsley has been getting into everything lately. She is Miss Independent and insists on doing everything for herself such as feeding herself, drinking out of regular cup instead of a sippy cup, picking out clothes and dressing herself. Last night she insisted on wearing her boots from Aunt Susie, but had to put them on herself. She walked around with them on the wrong feet all night but it didn't seem to bother her. When she doesn't get to do things her way, (for example, screw on the lid to her own sippy cups this morning) she gets pretty frustrated and screams at the top of her lungs. She also has started to try to bite and hit me.....where did my little angel go? I believe the terrible twos have started early for us. I am so excited for this new phase:)

She likes to take pictures with the camera...they are usually of the ceiling, but I kept this one because it captured her using the camera in the mirror
One of her new favorite books to read is "Alice the Fairy" by David Shannon. It is a really cute story. So she has enjoyed dressing up like a fairy lately.

This is a picture of her "flying really fast" like Alice does in the book. She will run back and forth across the apartment to pretend that she is flying.
