Challenge #379 - Tic Tac Toe

Hello all, Gail here.  I hope you are enjoying this fall season.

Today we have for you a TIC TAC TOE challenge.  You can choose any line down, across or diagonally and use those items/colours on your project.
I chose the far right column - blue, buttons, ribbon or twine.

We hope you can play along with us this week!

Challenge # 378 Pumpkins ( Majo)

Hi Guys,

Majo here today!

I'm so glad you made it here for yet another fun challenge. This time of the year I'd love to see your Halloween Creations. There is one twist:

*You will have to use a pumpkin on your project*

Either on a photo, if you make layouts, a die cut, a stamp, whatever, as long as it's a pumpkin.

This is my inspiration for you, a Halloween card I created with Tim Holtz stamps and a sentiment from Viva Las VegaStamps.

These are the lovely creations from our team:

Julene

Tina

Gail

I have a friend whose birthday is on Oct 31st, so I always make her a Halloween themed card.

I love halloween and here is my pumpkin-y page!

Stephanie
For my pumpkin challenge, I featured pics of my girls when they were tiny carving pumpkins.

Challenge #377 - Labels

Hi all

Recently I have fallen in love w/ using labels on my layouts.
Does that sound weird?

Okay, I admit it does, but hear me out...
labels can be used for more than just journaling.
They can definitely be used as a decorative element as well!
Do you always feel like you have to fill in a label?
I used to be that way, but now, with all the different varieties of labels out there, I sometimes use labels by themselves just for a pop of color!

So that is the challenge I pose to you: Use Labels on Your Project

Feel free to interpret that any way you'd like: for example, using a PP that has labels printed on it totally counts!
But lets see if you can stretch those label muscles a bit more.
::wink::

Here is what I came up with:

Doreen
I used 3 labels on this:
2 of the labels I split into 2 pieces and used a piece from each of them on
both sides of the layout; so 4 pieces total.
The 3rd label I kept intact and clustered it amongst the label pieces I used on the
right-hand side.
I ripped one of them to add texture.
- 2 page Travelers Notebook spread -

And here is what the other lovely ladies of UYS came up with:

I used just the one label for the date and place.

Use a few different Elle's Studio labels throughout my layout...

Amanda

I used three labels on mine - I cut an oval sticker label in half and used it on each side of the photo, a hexagon one for the date and a rectangle one for some journalling.

Challenge 376: Upcycle/Recycle

Hey Everyone!  We are in week 2 still of our Double Trouble collaboration!  Be sure to check out all the details here, to get in on both challenges!

In the meantime, if you are looking for a new challenge this week, our theme is UPCYCLE/RECYCLE.  We would like to see something on your project that was initially used for something else. It could be some wrapping, some twine, packaging, old washers, it's endless!
Look what the DT has to inspire you this week!

I was inspired by the packaging from a Chick-Fil-A gift card.  I trimmed around the cardboard and made a tag out of it as part of my project's title.

                                                                         Julene
The grey and white card is a recycled ticket folder for our Canada coach trip.
It became the mat for 2 photos. I also added a small scrap of pastel card from packaging I had.

Tammy
I used a piece of a burlap bag to create a big focal of my layout.

Link up below and let us know how you upcycle/recycle!
