Laatste schooldag.........

...........is morgen! Had niemand mij dat even kunnen vertellen????? Moest ik weer op het laatste moment iets verzinnen voor de juffen. En mijn hoofd stond er gisteren helemaal niet na, heb zelfs de wekelijkse crop avond moeten missen, snik, maar vandaag ging het gelukkig beter. Dus maar wat zitten prutsen, en chocolaatjes gegeten.

Vanmiddag heb ik een receptie van een vriendin die 25 jaar in dienst is, dus vanmorgen nog snel een kaart gemaakt. Hetzelfde paper gebruikt als bij de vorige kaart want dat lag nog op mijn werktafel:) En het is ook zo'n leuk papier. Ik heb Laura's schets nummer 56 van 2S4Y gebruikt.

Hello/Hallo kaarten

Gisteren de kaarten afgemaakt voor "A year in Cards June 201o" van Kristina Werner op Two Peas in a Bucket. Echt weer zo'n project wat was blijven liggen want je hebt tenslotte een maand om ze te maken. Morgen komt de volgende klas weer uit dus was ik lekker op tijd!

Verloren!

Zo jammer, ging met een (figuurlijke) kater naar bed en met mij waarschijnlijk heel voetbal lievendhebbend Nederland. Dus vandaag maar alle beesies van de lamp afhalen en alle handjes van de TV. De oranje verf uit het haar en de oranje T-shirts in de was. Over 2 jaar zitten we weer klaar (als Nederland zich kwalificeert).

Ondanks het hete weer even boven gezeten om een kaart te maken voor mijn buurmeisje. Ik heb een tafel ventilator achter me gezet zodat ik toch nog iets koel kon houden.


I braved my very hot craftroom this afternoon to make a card for the girl next door who turns 9 tomorrow. I put a table fan behind me to keep me a bit cool. But there going to be some good thunderstorms either this evening or a bit later. They are on their way according to the rain radar.

Tomorrow evening at 20.30pm (local time here) the Dutch soccor team plays against Spain for the worldcup. There will not be much traffic on the roads, everybody will be either at home or in a café or outside on a square with a big screen. I so hope we will win. Think of us!

Op naar Johannesburg!!!

Wat was het toch spannend gisteravond. Ik ben maar plantjes water gaan geven en toen viel natuurlijk het eerste doelpunt. Dat hoorde ik van heel veel kanten in de tuin! Nu zondag nog. Kunnen we daarna de tour gaan kijken, maar dat is lang zo spannend niet.

We (the Dutch soccer team) are through to the final of the World Soccer Championships. We beat Uruguay yesterday with 3-2. The whole country went crazy. Sunday is the final and we play either Germany or Spain.

Klungelen met Picasa 3.6

Het is een leuk programma, Picasa 3.6 maar als je computerblond bent dan duurt het even voor je door hebt hoe het werkt. Vanmiddag een collage gemaakt van foto's uit 2002. Vind het wel heel leuk om te doen.

Het is weer maandag, Caardvarks July challenge.

Ik heb de deur wijd open staan, het miezert iets en de temperatuur is momenteel zalig. De hond slaapt en Tom ook (het is half 11, hij is vrij dus laat ik hem maar lekker liggen). Gisteren een super rustige dag gehad. Niets gepland, alleen golfles van Tom van 9 tot 10 uur. En aangezien ik vrijdag mijn nieuwe PTI goodies in handen kreeg heb ik die meteen gebruikt om een kaart te maken. De challenge die ik gebruikt heb is de juli challenge van Caardvarks, een verjaardagskaart. De sponsor deze maand is MFT (My Favorite Things) en die bestaan 4 jaar.

The weather here at the moment had changed dramatically since last Friday, then it was 96 degrees Fahrenheit or 35 degrees celsius. The weather has forgotten The Netherlands is a country with a moderate sea climate with warm summers and not too cold winters. We don't have AC so we all melted last Friday. Now it's raining, it's not cold so I have the doors open. Much better, but it's going to be hot again after Wednesday.


BTW: I changed the colors on my blog to orange/red/white/blue, these are the colors of the Dutch flag (the orange part is the Royal part, the name of our Royal Family is "van Oranje" or "of Orange". And tomorrow our National Dutch soccer team plays the half finale in the World Championships.
