My Wish for you!

Finished this journal page a couple of nights ago, for my oldest granddaughter, Emma Sophia. I took the photo of her walking in the yard blowing bubbles. When I pulled it up on the screen I had to use it in my art journal.

Lots of layering, and to give it extra dimension I used Liquitex Modeling Paste, acrylic paint and finally ink to make the images pop! Found the quote on Pintrest. It was perfect for a little girl with a big imagination! Nana loves you! Miss Emma

I really enjoyed this challenge, and the page actually came together in just two days! with the help of Mother Nature, who blessed us with the 7th snow day of the school year!!!! Snowed in with nothing to do but creative time in my studio! LOL!

I'm sure I could have cleaned house or something, but why?

Drawing More Lines!!!

I have had so many requests for this positive quote on a little piece I created a few years ago. So I decided to do a few similar pieces that I could make prints of. Here is one I created on a 12x12 canvas. The  vintage image of a silent screen star is one of my favorites, athough I can't remember her name. She is on a 4X6 piece of illustration board I added to give the piece depth. I also used a lot of different scrapbook papers, acrylic paint and ink. I just couldn't stop drawing lines:) I guess this quote is a little of ME!!!:)

Dream Catchers My Way!

I've been spending so much time working on my "Art Journal" that I have neglected my blog, Pintrest, and a few of my other interests, so its time to take a break and do a something just for me!:)

I came across a tutorial for Dream Catchers from Msliberty Creations. Oh WOW!!!! inspiration!!!!!! I just had to try my hand at one!

This week just flew by! My Holiday break from school which was supposed to end on Monday, was extended through Wednesday, due to the wind chill and all that lovely snow and ice. More time to do what I love!!!!

Happy New Year Everyone! The past year has been a great one for me! my blog finally has a following of awesome friends!!!! I have beautiful little granddaughters, a supportive husband, especially when it comes to my art!

This year I have a goal, I know everyone has a New Years resolution. But I have a plan this year, to work really hard on my art journal! and keep up the Creative Spirit for the rest of the year!!!!!!

"An Enchanted Place"

 

This is my most recent journal page, finished it just this week. The images of the vintage children I pulled from Pintrest, I used scrapbooking papers, Grumbacher acrylic paints, modeling paste, ink, lace, crackle, stamps, a little bit of everything on my drawing table!
