Too tropical
These tropical earrings were also made for last fridays outfit. But in the end we decided it was really too much in combination with the head band. Flowers from an old garland and two green glass beads from a thrifted broken necklace. Glued together with a hot glue gun. They'll have to wait for another occasion.
Thrift store jewellery
I discovered a new second hand store. Only 10 minutes by car. With good (cheap) prices. A broken necklace with cute rectangular wooden beads I even got for free! Buttons and yarn were from an earlier thrift store scavenger hunt. The bracelets are made with macrame knots. Honestly..wtf features a nice set of tutorials for crafting simple and delicate bracelets like these.
Metallic
Giving in
She has been whining about ear hangers ever since she had her ears pierced, although I told her that only studs would be allowed. After another clash on this subject I decided I would surprise her with hangers. Not immediately, but later, since I didn't want to reward her behaviour. Making jewelry used to be my teenage hobby, so it was a trip down memory lane when putting these together. Real jade with fake pearls.
