VLV December 2014 OSW Viewfinder

Hey Viva la Verve-ers!  It's Julee popping in today with last week's Viewfinder and challenge reminder!  It's the final week of the month, and the deadline for our December challenge is this Thursday, January 1.

You can do the sketches individually or use the template provided to make the four card set, it's up to you. The template is designed for a 6 x 6" sheet of double-sided paper.  In the sketches, I've also added circles (but you could substitute  a different shape) cut from neutral cardstock and hand cut banner ends on a couple of the pieces.

Here's the link to the full printable PDF of the template. For individual sketch graphics, please see the original challenge post.

Here are a few cards from the linkup this week that caught my eye:

This set of anniversary cards by Amy just stole my heart.  Love all the sweet mages she used.

D~ linked up a beautiful set of cards.  This one with the tilted ornament and embossed background had me wishing for a cup of hot cocoa and a sleigh ride!

Heather's gorgeous set of cards is rugged and classy and full of texture.  You need to go check out the whole set!

Lori  made an absolutely luscious set of cards with this soft color combo.  Each one is beautiful!
And last but not least, this fabulous set of gorgeousness by Cheryl comes complete with it's own handmade gift box.  Beautiful!

Wonderful cards, everyone!  Thanks so much for joining in the challenge and keep 'em coming!
Happy New Year!

And if you haven't heard already, be sure to check out Verve's fabulous year-end sale!

December Week 2 OSW Viewfinder and Recap

Hey Viva la Verve-ers!  It's Julee popping in today with this week's recap and Viva la Viewfinder. I'm so glad you guys are enjoying the One Sheet Wonder challenge this month! Today I'm sharing another set of cards I made as a gift set for my mom using this month's template, along with a few of my favorites linkups from the week.

Here is my sample card set using the Scripture Medley 2 set. I made this set several months ago, so I apologize that the set sold out this week and it will be a while before we get any more stock. You could easily substitute verses from Scripture Medley 1, Scripture Medley 3 or sentiments from Faith Medley

You can view the cards individually on my blog, Poetic Artistry.

How fabulous is that white snowflake against the kraft on this beautiful card by Mirjam?

Cheryl created a beautiful set of vintage style Christmas cards.

Beautiful cards, everyone!  Thanks so much for joining in the challenge and keep 'em coming!
Merry Christmas!

Hey Viva la Verve-ers!  It's Julee popping in today with this week's recap and Viva la Viewfinder. I'm so glad you guys are enjoying the One Sheet Wonder challenge this month!  It's been fun seeing the cards popping into the gallery.  Today I'm sharing another set of cards I made using this month's template, along with a few of my favorites link ups from this week.

Here is my sample card set using the Holiday Treats set.
You can view the cards individually on my blog, Poetic Artistry.

And here are a few cards from the linky this week that caught my eye:

Lea Lawson made a beautiful 4 card set.  Love the black accents with the traditional red and green color combo.

Jen Bennett also made a lovely  4 card set, all utilizing this fun Christmas wreath.  Wish I had a big puffy one like that for my door!

I just love this card by Lyn using the Great Friend set.  So pretty and even though this isn't a holiday card, that beautiful purple flower has visions of sugarplums dancing through my head!

And finally this soft, beautiful creation from Rosemary using Peace on Earth had me staring for a while.  Pure simplicity.
Beautiful cards, everyone!  Thank you for joining in the challenge and keep 'em coming!  I'll be back next week with another card set and some more featured cards.

December Viva la Verve One Sheet Wonder Challenge

Welcome to our December Viva la Verve challenge!

Thanks so much for playing along and sharing all your fabulous cards in November!  I announced our November Viva la Diva last night, so scroll down or click here to view our winner announcement to see if you're our November Viva la Diva!

December is a super busy time for everyone, so I thought it would be fun to do a different kind of sketch challenge this month.  It's a 6 x 6 One Sheet Wonder with four card sketches perfect for making card sets for gift giving, or for quickly knocking out some Christmas cards.

There are four sketches this month, which are all posted below ... play along with us and link each of your challenge creations to our Entry Form link list. The link list will be up for the whole month and we'll choose a random winner at the end of the month to win a $100 gift voucher to Verve. Challenge rules can be found on the Rules tab at the top of the blog or by clicking here.  You don't have to complete all of the sketches to win, but the more cards you enter, the greater your odds of winning are. Verve stamps are not required to play, but we do love to see 'em!  I'll be highlighting a couple of my favorite link-ups each Friday this month, so be sure to link up.

You can do the sketches individually or use the template provided to make the four card set, it's up to you. The template is designed for a 6 x 6" sheet of double-sided paper.  In the sketches, I've also added circles (but you could substitute  a different shape) cut from neutral cardstock  amd hand cut banner ends on a couple of the pieces.

Tip:  Try to choose a paper where both sides have good contrast with each other and have a pattern that looks good when turned any direction.

Here's the link to the full printable PDF of the template.

To get you started, here is my sample card set using the OSW template.

You can check out my O Christmas Tree Diva Inspirations Blog Hop post for the close-ups of each individual card.
