1:41 pm	Scary Cary At lunch today I saw three plain clothes police officers dash into the Schlotsky's on Harrison Ave. I hope they were just hungry. I walked around Lake Johnson with my friend Cat yesterday evening. We had a nice talk. I took the black satin sheets of my bed forever. There was a hole in the fitted sheet and Brian hated them anyway. Said they were too slippery and made the blankets run away and the pillows slip out from under you. I'm back to cotton sheets, warmer in the winter, but I'm keeping the satin pillow cases. The search for the perfect set of bed sheets continues... 6:37 pm	I've waited long in this damp place. I've worked and I've studied. I've burned many candles and sat long in the dark. Sometimes I moved fast, so fast that the wind couldn't catch me, driven by my anger and hate. Sometimes I lay still, lethargic with misery, for so long that spiders worked webs over me. When you finally come how will you find me? Will I be still? Will I fly? Will I be clothed in this same rag? What's left of what you remember? Will you recognize me, my evolution mirroring your own? 1:33 pm	Slursday Slursday tonight at Havana Deluxe. I know Zan and Larry Iverson will be there. My bf will surely bail out. But I will be there in all my sparkly fabulousness with a martini glass in my hand, spilling gin on my dress, one wavy red lock hanging over my eye as I watch the door for you to come in... Watched Hannibal last night. Very disturbing. Then Brian and I watched the new Vampire Hunter D movie. Somehow it was kinda overshadowed by the gruesome ending of Hannibal, so instead of having darkly romantic dreams about the ancient undead I had creepy scary dreams about someone trying to eat me. I'd forgotten how much I loved the old one. I went to bed early and dreamed my hair was blonde and short. Ack! What a nightmare! 5:48 pm	Good hair day I am so happy with my hair the past week. I've discovered that if I change my part about once a month or so it cooperates sooo much better. I also found this rad new shampoo and conditioner called So Long by Redken. It's specially formulated for long hair and it has done wonders for my hair. 5:34 pm	How sad is this? I came home to find two of the baby mice dead and the third barely moving. I held him in my hand and spoke to him, tried to get him to drink but he squeaked a little and then closed his eyes and moved no more. I guess they just went too long without mama. 3:02 pm	I just acquired two pet mice, little babies maybe a week old. Brian found them in his house. He caught their mother last week but apparently she already had a litter. I didn't want the little orphans to die so they are my new pets. They just drank water out of my fingernail. There might be more. I hope the rest didn't die in the walls or something. 4:45 pm	Cool Friday Night Got trashed last night and won the door prize for "coolest eyes" at meiow and HB's house. Dragged some folks over to Zan's house where I saw Brad, Amneris, Chris and Matt and Typhoid Linda was asleep upstairs. Zan's drunk neighbor came over and tried to break stuff. Nursed my hangover with a bowl of black bean chili at Cup A Joe around 3pm. Everyone was sitting outside - it's such a pretty day. Too bad I slept most of it away... 4:09 pm	What to do with my weekend Last night B and I had fondue at the french place. It was amazingly good! We also had their vegetarian escargots which is so yummy I could eat it every day. We consumed lots of red wine and went home to eat leftover blueberry pie (yes, it's kept wonderfully in the fridge!) Tonight I think I might go see my girl Zan. Spoke to her briefly at an intersection on my way back to work from lunch. Kinda random. Tomorrow is Vivian's birthday party and Chris and Matt and Tonya will be in town so we will surely go out and raise hell binge-drinker style! Zan's talking about getting a driver for the night and taking a van everywhere so we can all get tanked and not worry about driving or parking. I might try to go see my folks this weekend though. I left some things there last weekend and my dad said he'd pay for my new digital camera if I came to see him. 11:23 am	Valentine Goo Okay, I'm a cheeseball. I left a big heart shaped balloon tied to the coffee table with a mushy card under it for Brian this morning. I think tonight we are going to eat at that cute little French place in Cary. They have great fondue and the most amazing mushrooms, good wine and yummy desserts.
