    Well I found Dancer...
A home. Well they found me. Buy anyway. She is no longer my horse
:,( But I am happy too:,) I think she has a good home. I am going to go see her before I leave. The family that took her want Rose too. So I think she will have a good home too. I am going to get a ferret when I get out of AIT. I will not have time to work with the dog I want but I think a ferret will be good. I want to get an Aussi and the are very very active and shed all the time! So just grooming will take up as much as daily care and play a ferret will need. And a ferret is all I have ever wanted in a dog. We will just have to be carefull and not let the rats and the ferret out togather. LOL The puppy that we kept weights more that Rose does! He is HUGH! He is not yeat 6 months and has got to be almost if not a little over 50 pounds. He has a good personalty. Clam for his age and the biggest lover in the world. But he is hard headed too. I got my hair cut it was over shoulder lenght but I got it cut. It looks like I style it every day but I just wash it and brush it. It took at least 6 inches off. But now I won't have to get up and braid it every morning just brush it. So that will be good.

I haven't said anything in a long time...
Because I have been busy with work & getting ready to leave. I only have 16 more days left! It seams to have gone by so fast and then agian it seams to have forever. My recruter will be coming over every morning at 6:00 or 0600 to run with me. OH FUN! LOL I need to lose about 5 pounds so I won't have to be taped before I leave. That taping is so silly. I don't think any body can get to far under 32% body fat with it.

We have to find a good home for Rose. She like to kill chickens. I hat it I don't want to get rid of her, but...

    I don't know...
I am at the library right now! I have to be at work at 4:00 or 1600 hours. :,P lol I have to learn some stuff like that so I can get a promotion before I leave for BCT. See I will be signed up for the GI Bil wich will take $100 out of my pay for the first year. If I can go to BCT as E-2 insted of E-1 it will make up for it. Hopfully I will be E-3 when I graduate from BCT. So you know, that would be good.

    America, America
This is an Editorial written by an American citizen, published in a local Newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he?

    IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely comprised of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle.

Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But, once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

    This morning
I took a walk with Rose. We walked the normal place that we walk. I got to were there are no more houses and let her off the leash. She loved it and she actualy behaved too! We walked 2 miles. I've been trying to jog too. But I got up this morning and could not stop coughing. So I did not think it was a good idea to try to jog. When I got back I found uot I had left the door locked. I had to take off my sweat shirt and try to fit in the dog door. I did get my upper body in but I could not get my hips in. That was ok tho because I could reach the lock from there. But when I tried to back out I almost got stuck. LOL That would have been BAD. I cvalled my best Friend this morning. We talked for a long time. ???? Look at that isn't that soo cool? I learned how to do that yesterday.

    M.A.E. Chapter 2 part II
Well :,D I finally got in! With the MOS I wanted!

Friday: My recruiter came out and taped me again and said she would call me that night with the results. So I waited then went to work. Well unknown to me she called right after I left for work. She called work right before I got there. So I decided to stay home most of Sat to see if she called. If she didn't I would call her Monday. Well she didn't call.

Monday: I called and asked her what was going on. She told me everything. I made it in the % Body Fat. Just but I still made it. So she told me she would pick me up about 12:30.
So I hung out then got packed. She picked me up and we went to Clarksville. Stopping at Arbyes and Wal-Mart. I was late for the shuttle to Nashville so another recruiter drove me there. I had to wait for them to get all my paper work done then I had to wait for the recruiter that drove me to do some stuff too. So I went outside and played in there Hum-V. The recruiter that drove me is only 1 year older than me!
I got to the hotel and she new less about in than I did. I was the first female to sign in. And when I signed in there were only about 6 guys signed in. I was the first to dinner. And I did NOT run down to eat I was still a little full from lunch. There were some interesting people there. Mostly guys this time.
My roommate was shipping out. So she was scared. We were awake talking until around 12:00 or 1:00 But once we turned out the lights we both slept good. Until 4:20 when the alarm went off.

Tuesday: Got up toooooo early took a shower got dressed and went down to eat just a few bites. I got up earlier than in the past and breakfast was actually hot.
I did all that stuff again with the paper work I mean. Got measured and weighed. Then went out to wait. I was so nervous. I could barely breath. She got done with it printed it out and handed it to me. I looked at it a min and saw that I did pass. I thought the worst was over. It wasn't but the other stuff came later. I talked to the doctor who wasn't the same as last time. I didn't like him. I liked the other one better. But any way. I got passed al the medical stuff. I was told to go down stars to my branch of service.
Here I waited and waited And WAITED. I was the first one, that was to talk to the councilor, that put my folder on the desk. I think my folder got on the bottom of the pile. I was the last to be called. So I finally got to talk to him and I found out that one of my scores on my ASVAB was 3 points from min qualifications. But I was good on all the rest. So they had to get an exception for that. I got it. They had to wait for some thing else to go through. While they were doing that I found out that I needed a letter from my mom stating my enrollment date completion date and type of curriculum for High School. So I called and had Mama Fax a paper to them. Then while they were waiting for all that every body else got sworn in. I had to wait. So I am sitting there waiting and the shuttle driver, for the one that I take, got there. He doesn't like to wait. lol But any way all my stuff got approved and came through. So I got to the swear in briefing and the swearing in privately. It was pretty cool to do it alone. I will be leaving for Basic on Jan 30. For Basic training I go to is at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri AKA Ft. Lost in the Woods, Misery. Makes me feel real confident but in is in a National Forrest. The web site for there is www.wood.army.mil when the home page comes up click on Training Brigades, then click 3rd Training Brigade, then click on Basic Training Info on the left, now use the menu on the left side to navigate. I will ba going to AIT (my advanced training) in Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. There web site is www.cs.amedd.army.mil click on enter, well the quick link that I wanted dose not work. It might be working in a few days so click on 91W and see what happens then wright me back. In all my training will be about 6 months. I got all my special atention then we still had to wait on a gut who was spose to ship but he was 3lb. under weight. They tried to get him a waver but didn't. I got home about 7:00 last night. Well I got to go. :,)

    How Could You?
This was written by a dog. Hopefully it wasn't a Boxer.
    ============================================
When I was a puppy I entertained you with my antics and made you laugh. You
called me your child and despite a number of chewed shoes and a couple of
murdered throw pillows, I became your best friend. Whenever I was "bad,"
you'd shake your finger at me and ask "How could you?" - but then you'd
relent and roll me over for a bellyrub.

My housebreaking took a little longer than expected, because you were
terribly busy, but we worked on that together. I remember those nights of
nuzzling you in bed, listening to your confidences and secret dreams, and I
believed that life could not be any more perfect. We went for long walks
and runs in the park, car rides, stops for ice cream (I only got the cone
because "ice cream is bad for dogs", you said), and I took long naps in the
sun waiting for you to come home at the end of the day. Gradually, you
began spending more time at work and on your career, and more time
searching for a human mate. I waited for you patiently, comforted you
through heartbreaks and disappointments, never chided you about bad
decisions, and romped with glee at your homecomings, and when you fell in
love. She, now your wife, is not a "dog person" - still I welcomed her
into our home, tried to show her affection, and obeyed her. I was happy
because you were happy. Then the human babies came along and I shared your
excitement. I was fascinated by their pinkness, how they smelled, and I
wanted to mother them, too. Only she and you worried that I might hurt
them, and I spent most of my time banished to another room, or to a dog
crate. Oh, how I wanted to love them, but I became a "prisoner of love."

As they began to grow, I became their friend. They clung to my fur and
pulled themselves up on wobbly legs, poked fingers in my eyes, investigated
my ears and gave me kisses on my nose. I loved everything about them and
their touch - because your touch was now so infrequent - and I would have
defended them with my life if need be.

I would sneak into their beds and listen to their worries and secret
dreams. Together we waited for the sound of your car in the
driveway. There had been a time, when others asked you if you had a dog,
that you produced a photo of me from your wallet and told them stories
about me. These past few years, you just answered "yes" and changed the
subject. I had gone from being "your dog" to "just a dog", and you
resented every expenditure on my behalf.

Now you have a new career opportunity in another city, and you and they
will be moving to an apartment that does not allow pets. You've made the
right decision for your "family", but there was a time when I was your only
    family.

I was excited about the car ride until we arrived at the animal
shelter. It smelled of dogs and cats, of fear, of hopelessness. You
filled out the paperwork and said, "I know you will find a good home for
her". They shrugged and gave you a pained look. They understand the
realities facing a middle-aged dog or cat, even one with "papers". You had
to pry your son's fingers loose from my collar as he screamed, "No, Daddy!
Please don't let them take my dog"! And I worried for him, and what lessons
you had just taught him about friendship and loyalty, about love and
responsibility, and about respect for all life. You gave me a goodbye pat
on the head, avoided my eyes, and politely refused to take my collar and
leash with you. You had a deadline to meet and now I have one, too.

After you left, the two nice ladies said you probably knew about your
upcoming move months ago and made no attempt to find me another good
home. They shook their heads and asked "How could you?" They are as
attentive to us here in the shelter as their busy schedules allow. They
feed us, of course, but I lost my appetite days ago. At first, whenever
anyone passed my pen, I rushed to the front, hoping it was you, that you
had changed your mind - that this was all a bad dream...or I hoped it
would at least be someone who cared, anyone who might save me. When I
realized I could not compete with the frolicking for attention of happy
puppies, oblivious to their own fate, I retreated to a far corner and
    waited.

I heard her footsteps as she came for me at the end of the day and I padded
along the aisle after her to a separate room. A blissfully quiet room. She
placed me on the table, rubbed my ears and told me not to worry. My heart
pounded in anticipation of what was to come, but there was also a sense of
relief. The prisoner of love had run out of days. As is my nature, I was
more concerned about her. The burden which she bears weighs heavily on her
and I know that, the same way I knew your every mood.

She gently placed a tourniquet around my foreleg as a tear ran down her
cheek. I licked her hand in the same way I used to comfort you so many
years ago. She expertly slid the hypodermic needle into my vein. As I felt
the sting and the cool liquid coursing through my body, I lay down
sleepily, looked into her kind eyes and murmured "How could you?"

Perhaps because she understood my dogspeak, she said "I'm so sorry". She
hugged me and hurriedly explained it was her job to make sure I went to a
better place, where I wouldn't be ignored or abused or abandoned, or have
to fend for myself - a place of love and light so very different from this
earthly place. With my last bit of energy, I tried to convey to her with a
thump of my tail that my "How could you?" was not meant for her. It was
you, My Beloved Master, I was thinking of. I will think of you and wait
    for you forever.

May everyone in your life continue to show you so much loyalty.

    The End

    M.A.E. Chapter 2 MEPS part 2
Monday: My recruiter called me about 11:00 and asked when I got off work well I wasn't working that night. She told me that they had not gotten my High School stuff yet. But I had told her last week that my mom had gotten her copy. So she asked if we could use that one. So I spent the night in Nashville again. This time my room mate was a gal that I rode down with. She was 22 married and had to come back for the same reason I did. It seamed like everybody that was shipping the next day was married. So we ate dinner and worked out together. Then we went in to the steam room. If you have not been in one it is something strange. We were the only ones in it. Nobody saw us go in and no one saw us come out. My skin was soooo soft after that. After that we were going to play pool but my license has been rubbed off. So I could not stay in there. That sucked man. We went to our room and watched The Patriot with Mel Gibson. It is a good movie.

Tuesday: We got up at 4:35 and I took a shower. Went down and did not eat much. Then went and sat in the lobby until the buses came. They were late. They were spost to be there at 5:30 but it was at the earliest 6:00 when they got there. The buses were tore buses so we got to watch a thing on A Country Christmas At The Opry Land Hotel. WOW :,} We got to MEPS and stood out side to have our bags checked then all shippers went in then us who did not need a full physical went in. We then went to I forget it was a long day. Any way after we did what I forgot we went to the medical desk. I got measured again and again I failed it. My forearm went down either 1/4 of 3/4 of an inch and it killed me. Now the thing said that I need to lose 2 lbs. I lost 3lbs since last time. My hip measurement went down so that was good. Now I have to build up my arm. So it has been all fun and games and I have to go back after 8 days this time. In other words no I did not get in yeat and if this keeps up I will not get in until I am 141 the weight limit for my are and height. All I could do was laugh. I sat up there until my recruiter got there at about 11:30 and we came home stopping at Wal-Mart to get a squashy ball and then to Sub Way for lunch. I guess maybe there is a good reason God has not let me in yet. I might be waiting for an opening for the job I want. You never know.

My Army experience Chapter 1 MEPS
MEPS stands for Military Entrance Processing Station. You can take your ASVAB there and you have to get your physical there.

Day one: I thought I did good on my ASVAB but I wasn't sure. I took it Monday, I did not find out until I got back to the recruiters office Tuesday what I made. I got all of the questions answered but one. I was happy about that. I had a better chance of getting a good score if I answered then all. The one that the time ran out on was the last of 50 math problems. We only had 3min to do them in. They were all small problems like 4+7=?, 2-1=?, and that kind of stuff. I found out that I made a 54! I only made a 48 on the sample test I took on the 4th. That is pretty good. I was soooooo happy when I found out. It gives me alot of options if they won't take my science to include biology.

That night: We stayed at a really expensive hotel. But we could not hardly do any thing. We only had about 10 tv stations. We could not call out on our room phones. And man the food sucked. Not that I could eat much any way. For diner I sat with a guy that was shipping out for the Army and a girl that was testing for the Navy. I pretty much hung out with them all that night. My room mate was shipping out with the Air Force the next day she she was getting a lot of calls. So I tried to stay out most of the night to let her have privacy. The girl that was testing for the Navy, Crystal, and I pretty much stayed together the next day too. I saw the guy once of twice the next day. I didn't even know his name. When I finaly went back to my room and tried to go to sleep My room mate kept getting calls. She apologized to me for the phone wakeing me I told her it was alright and that I wasn't asleep yet any way. As we were talking about it the phone rang. We had a good laugh about it. She was from Clarksville.

Day two: We got a wake-up call at 4:30! We didn't get to sleep until after midnight. I got up took a shower, then went down for breakfast and could not eat. So I ate a little and went in to the lobby to wait for the bus to go back to MEPS for physicals yep-pee! I sat next to a girl who was shipping out to the Marines. She was so scared. Once we got there she calmed a little. We got there and had the first briefing of many. Then we went to the control desk and got all the paper work we needed for the physicals. Oh man we had to do all sorts of things. We wad to have our hearing, vision, blood, urine, genral health, and flexibility tested. Crystal and I were looking at our paper work trying to figure it out. But we could not. I tried to pee in a cup before the flex and general health stuff. I tried twice and could not do it. I had to go through all sorts of movements with a full bladder. I could have peed in the cup if there wasn't the presser of the lady standing there watching me saying we don't have all day and stuff like that. All the medical staff was sorta mean but I think it was more sarcasm that any thing. Sort of like a warm up for boot camp. I thought they were funny. I was over weight for the weight charts so they did the percentage body fat on me and I had .3224 that was .0024 over. The program the figured it out said I needed to lose 1 lb. I could not belive it. I know they have to draw the line some were but I was sooooooo close. It could have been all that pee in my bladder. I was sore most of the rest fo the day. I have to go back to talk to the job coulcler any way. So that was not to bad. I will only have to wave my weight checked and talk to the coulcler. So after I got all that done I had lunch. I could only eat half of it. Crystal got in to the Navy she will be leaving in June after she graduates High School. Then us that came from Clarksville had to wait for a shuttle to come and take back. I paced the place back and forth around and around. My and some other gals were sitting there takling and laughing at crazy things and some new people came in and looked at us really strange :,) We were soooo tired and wanted to go so bad. Plus after going through all that stuff in our underware we bonded some. We could not be any more embarrassed than we were then so we didn't care if some people who did not know what they were getting in thought about us. Then my recruiter brought me home.

    To all who know me...

I am hopefully going is as a Health Care Specialist. I get to do all sorts of fun things. It is sorta like being a paramedic. But you get to do more. Like sutures, repel out of helicopters, and more fun stuff like that. I might not be able to get it tho. I am sopsta to have had Biology in high school but Mama put for my schooling just science and they might not accpet that. And I won't find out untell the recruiter gets my school stuff. That will take at the longest untell the 22nd. So I am looking at some other things too. Like Imagery Analyst, Multimedia Illustrator, & Journalist. So if I can't get what I want I am looking at other things. My heart won't be completely broken. Well that is all for now. I'll update you later.

    National Anthem The Star-Spangled Banner
This has all 4 verses. It is rare you find this poem any more with all 4. So it is a treat to present all 4 to you!

O! say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilights last gleaming:
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
Oer the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming,
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there:
O! say, does the star-spangled banner still wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mist of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, oer the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream
'Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is the band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country would leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footstep's pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave!
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave

O! thus be it ever when freemen shall stand
    Between their loved homes and the foes desolation;
Blessd with victory and peace, may our heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, for our cause it is just
And this be our motto "In God is our trust!"
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

She always seems to flirt with the dilivery drivers. None of the dilivery guys are over 25 If that. She is probluly 35 or so. She just ticks me off. I was there first and she acts like she is queen of pizzas. She worked at pizza hut before. But she don't read all of the ticket. Ok I've complained enough for now.

I pray for all the victims families. And for the un-found still living. Bring In The Search and Rescue Dogs! They are the best detectors of people. There is no better way to find people than a well trained dog.

    Pet Overpopulation/Ownership Stats. Winter 2000-2001
    Pet Overpopulation Kills
Milions of U.S. households have companion animals and spend billions of dollars yearly on pet supplies and food. But as a nation, we should be ashamed that another statistic runs into the millions each year: the number of dogs and cats given up to shelters or left to die on our streets because of pet owners' irresponsibilty. Consider the fact that is six short years ONE DOG and her puppies can be the source of 67,000 puppies. In seven years ONE CAT and her young can produce 420,000 kittens. EACH DAY approximately 70,000 puppies and kittnes are born in the U.S.(vs. 10,000 humans). As a result, MILLIONS of these innocent animals will face death either by being left to fend for themselves or be euthanasia as a form of "animal control". Hundreds of thousands more will live abandoned, neglected, or abused. Only the lucky few will have a chance to live out their lives in a loving home. The number tells only half the story. Every cat or dog who dies as a result of pet overpopulation - whether humanely in a shelter or injury, disease, or neglect - is a living, breathing, feeling being who, more often than not, would make a wonderful companion if given the chance. As tremendous as the problem of pet overpopulation is, it can be reduced if each of us take just one small step, START WITH NOT ALLOWING OUR OWN ANIMALS TO BREED.

    U.S. Pet Ownership Statistics
The following stats. were compiled from the American Pet Products Manufacturing Association 1999-2000 National Pet Owners Survey

    4. 2 in 10 dog owners own 2 dogs.
    5. 1 in 10 dog owners own 3 or more dogs.
    6. Looking at the total number of dog owners, they own an average of almost 2 dogs per owner.
    7. There are an equal number of male and female dogs owned based on percentages of total dog owners.
    8. In households where there are no children under 18 years of age more dogs are owned on average(2), than in horseholds where there are children under 18(1).

    Cats
    1. There are approximately 64,250,000 owned cats in the U.S.
    2. 3 in 10(or 32,128,000) U.S. households own at least 1 cat.
