Melissa is a very happy camper. She got to go shopping today!

My step-mum bought me more tops for school. Some really wicked ones designed by one of the original Charlie's Angels. Wicked, eh? I also bought the first DC-3 CD, which I've been meaning to buy since I bought Survivor when it came out, but had put it on the backb urner considering there was other music I wanted to buy first. I also bought some Herbal Essences (the ONLY shampoo and conditioner I use on my hair) and it came with a free CD sampler from 98?. Then my step-mum bought my sister and I shoes and then I convinced her to buy me these cute cow-like slippers. I love them, they're so warm and fuzzy. They're cute!

I also discovered Britney likes to walk around naked at her flat. ::: smiles ::: Nothing more needs to be said.

Broke the news to my 'rents that school starts Tuesday, not Monday as they thought. They're depressed about it. I'm not. That means I can stay up and watch the Madonna concert on HBO Sunday night. YAY for me!

Talking to Sarah at the moment. I enjoy her company, she's a good mate to know.

Haven't spoke to Mark in awhile. I know he's back in school, which sucks, because he's so wicked. But what can you do? I miss ya Markie!

10:30 am - Britney Spears
Read this article today that made me happy too:
Britney and Robbie duet
ITN reported that Robbie Williams and Britney Spears are reportedly set to team up and record a duet. Any such combination by the two is almost guaranteed to be a success on both sides of the Atlantic. Robbie is desperately trying to convince Britney that she should join him on a track for his new album. Robbie has already persuaded actress Nicole Kidman to sing a track with him on his easy listening covers album Swing When You're Winning. He hopes teaming up with Britney would finally help him hit the big time in America. Robbie is in the States finalising ideas for the new album and negotiating with Britney's representatives. It is thought that the new album will be a departure from the usual pop routine for Robbie as it is likely to feature hit songs from the fifties by stars like Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. "As far as the Britney duet goes, it's looking good. With her and Nicole on board it will raise his profile in the United States," said a source from Robbie's camp. Robbie is feeling refreshed after taking a break in Las Vegas and is hoping the album could make it big in time for Christmas.

This news is also reported on DotMusic.com click here to read: "ROBBIE SWINGS WITH BRITNEY."

Britney and Robbie? I love them both and now even more so. Can't wait for the new Robbie album. :-)

Found an interesting quiz on-line: Find Your Star Wars Twin. Sarah should love it.

Anyways, here's my results:

You: very high (90 percentile)
Yoda - This wise, philosophical, and thoughtful Jedi master challenges the establishment, encouraging his pupils to unlearn what they have learned and see the world in novel, creative ways.

Yoda, huh? LOL. I've always been a sucker for that philosophical and confusing atmosphere. ROFLOL now!

Guess what? Triple H is going to be on WWF Access this week. YAY! He's coming back, I can feel it. He's my favourite wrestler and he tore some ligament in his knee a few months back, had to get surgery, and now (hopefully) he's coming back. Let's keep my fingers crossed now.

Updated my fan fiction. You might want to check it out. Might as well go to poesie.com while you're bored and check out my poetry too. Shameless plug, I know. ::: shakes head :::

Got some plot bunnies crawling around my head... might write them, might not. It depends. I'm hungry.

They just replaced the ceiling in our kitchen so we can't eat in there for the next couple days. Something about it falling through on our heads or something. Whatever works for me. That means food out! YAY!

10:00 am
Woke up at 7:30 to an earful of Limp Bizkit on the local radio station. Went to the bathroom and found both my parents were already up. I'm supposed to get up at that time but since I didn't sleep well last night I went back to bed. Woke up at nine to my father chastising me. Convinced them both that I was watching The Today Show instead of sleeping. Talk about gullible...

Ate oatmeal. Got dressed.

Learned I wasn't going with my step-mum to Blockbuster as planned. She's buying Traffic and (might rent or buy depending on price of the latter) High Fidelity on VHS for me. Luckily I have the money otherwise I would be screwed for my next dose of dramatic Catherine viewing.

E-mailed David. ::: smiles dumbly :::

I watched the Teen Choice Awards last night. Well, only part of it. The parts where Britney were on. She presented Aerosmith with Best Rock Video for "Jaded" and won Choice Female Artists. Carrot Top did a funny impression of Metallica covering "Oops!... I Did It Again." It was bloody hilarious!

Read some Faith/Cordy fan fiction. They're my new favourite pair. Don't tell me why, I've always fancied Faith. I always thought she was gay (in the bisexual sort of way, duh)... anyways, there's something appealing about the pairing. Gets me invigorated, if y'know what I mean.

Watched Raw is War. Rock is WCW Champion. YAY!

My sister was talking about going to Youth Group. I might go and check it when she goes to see what it's all about. I'm not the religious sorts but it couldn't hurt. Good way to meet people (though I doubt any of them would be accepting of my slash habit).

Joined the official Jessica Simpson mailing list. She's hot, what more of a reason do I need besides that?

I want to go the Xena Convention in Cherry Hill Aug. 25/26. Victoria Pratt is going to be there. She's lovely... gorgeous... and many more adjectives that could leave me here for days. I want to go but I doubt my parents will drive me there. Oh well.

9:49 am - David
Yesterday was a trip.

Taking the trash out after dinner (my normal chore of the day) proved to be a daunting task when the handsome David stepped out from his flat and started talking to me.

(Of course!) I looked like complete crap in his presence and I was entirely too "girly." Something I'm not normally like at all.

He asked me how I was, how my summer was, and then we started talking about me being a martial artist. Then he told me he was a bodybuilder and that he's won a lot of competitions and such in my area.

::: smiles :::

This is the best part...

Then he asked if I had AOL and I said yes then he gave me his e-mail addy! He asked me to e-mail him!

OMG!

I was so excited when I came into my flat and proceeded to my sister to dish what had happened.

I don't want to get my hopes up but ::: crosses fingers ::: maybe?

Woke past nine this morning... step-mum called me "her highness" in reference to my rising at whatever time I please. I smirked at the comment, happy that she realises that, yes, I am the Queen of the House. LOL. Proceeded to eat breakfast before heading upstairs to get dressed and ready to roll.

Went to AC Moore (a craft store) bought some frames for my completed Fuzzy Posters and then bought three more (two kitty cat ones and a tiger one). The tiger one is so cute!

I absolutely adore tigers, for those of you who don't know me personally. They're the cutest things on the planet. I want to adopt a Siberian Tiger (after Rachel went to visit one on S Club 7 Go Wild)... but my parents laughed at me. Bloody cynics.

I keep getting in trouble around my flat. First it starts with arguing about whether or not I'm doing anything wrong to begin with. Then it becomes an issue about me treating my sister like she's lower then me. Finally it came full circle to where I think I'm better than everyone else in my flat. FYI: I am.

Yesterday I switched back in forth between the Tough Enough Half-Nelson Marathon on MTV and Madonna A-Z on MTV2. Enjoyed both, though I particularly liked seeing Madonna kick bum in all her videos to date (ex. "Erotica" & "What It Feels Like (for a Girl)"). ::: smiles :::

I read Sarah's journal. She said some nice things about Heights and my new BTVS fic All In a Moment's Notice. She's the most awesomest Beta reader in the world. I'd be lost without her. She's also an incredibly gifted writer and it's a pleasure working with someone of that caliber. Speaking of writer, haven't posted anything on poesie.com lately. Figure I could work some nice magic with rhyme later this week when I go back to school.

It's not as if I'm actually going to be doing a whole lot of schoolwork... I'm going to be writing fics and poetry. It's what I do during class and it'll ALWAYS be what I do during class.

Last night I watched The Haunting's Special Edition featurette, hosted by the lovely Catherine Zeta Jones of course! It was interesting, all this behind-the-scenes techno-jumble. At the end it was humourous when they shut the lights off like she was in a haunted flat. I laughed, said out loud "Wouldn't mind keeping you company in the dark, love." Luckily, I was alone in my room. ;-) ::: smiles lecherously :::

I'm frustrated at the amount of security protocol on my step-mum's computer. I can not access many slash sites and I'm beginning to have withdrawals. Not a good thing... Melissa needs her slash.

Melissa needs a lot of things, actually, if you know what I'm saying.

Step-mum asked this morning: "Are you fascinated with her [Catherine Zeta Jones]?" I just laughed and replied, "Yep."

When when she/they learn? ::: smirks satisfactorily :::

11:39 am - Catherine Zeta Jones
Did I watch the series? No. Do I now wish I had? Yes. Why, might you ask? Because of Catherine of course!

Catherine Zeta Jones had a role in one episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles in '92. I was seven at the time and watched the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That picture is her, in the episode titled: "Palestine, October 1917." She played the character of Maya, a seducer attempting to stop Indiana Jones in his to do something or other.

With other Catherine-related news...

It has been confirmed that she will star as Colette in Smoke and Mirrors co-starring her husband, Michael Douglas. It's about Houdini (who Douglas will play) and how he fell in love with his assistant (Catherine's character)It's scheduled for a 2002 release.

11:29 am - Britney Spears' New Album
Okay, so I'm checking my daily Britney news at BritneySpears.org and I find out that some songs have been for her "yet-to-be-titled" third release.

So here they are...

CONFIRMED SONGS:

"I'M A SLAVE 4 U" ? Written & Produced by The Neptunes. First single. To be premiered September 6th at the MTV VMA's. Britney says the song is about being a slave for music, but, like Jackson's Rock With You, the lyrics are soaked with double-entendre.

"BEFORE THE GOODBYE" ? Produced by BT. Described by BT as electronica with an explosive disco chorus. It addresses the pain of missing someone who hasn't even left yet.

"TILL I SAY SO" ? Produced by BT. Upper-mid tempo, new-school break-beat track, with guitars and live drums.

"OVERPROTECTED" ? Max Martin, Rami, Britney Spears. Funky mid-tempo. Lyrics -'Say hello to the girl that I am' & 'You're gonna have to see through my perspective/I'm gonna have to make mistakes just to learn who I am/And I don't want to be so damn protected.' Britney says, its the handlers watching over her career who occasionally treat her condescendingly. 'People are always wanting to know every detail about where I go, and I always have to have bodyguards with me,' she says. 'Its sometimes like they're insinuating that I can't do things on my own, and it's like, I can! I know they mean well, but I don't like people treating me like a little girl.'

"NOT A GIRL, NOT YET A WOMAN" ? Martin, Rami, Dido. Ballad on soundtrack and album. Mega-ballad on par with ?My Heart Will Go On.?

"I LOVE ROCK 'N ROLL" - Cover of the Joan Jett hit. Most likely on both the album and soundtrack.

"LONELY" - Rodney Jerkins.

"BRING ME HOME" - Mentioned in an aritcle in USA Today, and Britney has said it's her favorite song on her upcoming third album.

I've been watching the S Club 7 2001 Marathon again... I taped it on New Year's Day. I needed a quick Rachel fix and it's providing that for me. Tee-hee.

I watched the Partridge Family movie on ABC last night. It was interesting, centered on Danny Bonaduce. I like him for some reason, not like him in the "oh, he's cute" department, but like him as a person. He fascinates me, so I watched it. BB2 wasn't on and LKL was a bust, so it passed the time.

Last night was pretty much boring... read some fan fiction... didn't attempt to write any... listened to music... and slept. That's about it.

Boring.
