|
/work was lame. i actually got to do stuff, at least. i moved tents. it got me thinking. i want to go away for a "couple's campout" idea in the summer. then it occured to me i'd have to be in a couple.
/zellers changed their muzak. it was all oldies. 'my boyfriend's back.' 'hound dog.' 'it's my party & i'll cry if i want to.' 'tutti fruitti.' 'i get around.' yeahhh, the beach boys put me in a good mood.

/nofx is tomorrow. =) yeah, i finally got excited.

9:07 pm - stupid me. i *did* have news.

remember when i got punched in the face?
well, today as trevor & i exited the mall, we went to the bus stop thinger. they don't come there now cuz of the strike thing. so we're walking across the parking lot, & some car about 50-100 feet away *beeps* the horn. so i look, squinting to try to see who it was. i couldn't, so we kept walking.
about 20 seconds later the same car comes ripping up behind us [in the empty lot], stops, & the guy in the passenger seat gets out. i turn around, & he comes at me! he shoves me and says "what the fuck were you looking at? huh? calling me a fag, eh?"
so i said "what are you fucking talking about?"
and he proceeded to tell me how he could kill me, & he's "a tank" and that he could destroy me.
i'm thinkin', "ok man, i guess it's go time."
he gets in the car and leaves.
he looked familiar-but-not-very. dressed like a prep/jock, fairly big, american eagle hat. i think he might go to our school maybe. i'll be looking tomorrow.
one thing's for sure: i'm carrying my knife on a constant basis from now on.

10:10 pm - two MORE things.

1. i found something that makes me happier... music. playing bass made me happy. and the idea of going to nofx/mad caddies/frenzal rhomb in 3 days is good.
there's at least one concert every month for me to look forward to... this month is nofx, then catch 22/grade. april is robin black & the intergalactic rockstars. june is the pop disaster tour with blink 182, green day & saves the day. july... damn, i need a show in july. august is warped. fuck ya.
2. since no one has claimed the shindig for friday, can i suggest we all go on a shindig outing to the ghetto pool hall downtown? and play pool? and have fun with the jukebox?
i'm tired of shindigs where people just hide in rooms making out/having sex/talking quietly. shindigs are group thingers, people! group! we need a group outing!

i don't like to feel this way. i'm sad. i have lots of friends, & they're great, but i feel need for female company. nothing i ever do seems to work out lately, whether it's because the person & i don't have anything in common, or if it's because the person doesn't feel the same way, or whatever.
i need a hug. i need a kiss. i need to be held.
i just want to lay down in the dark on my bed or a couch or something with my arms around her & kiss someone softly & talk about everything & nothing all at once until the sun comes up.

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack. "Miss Whack, I'd like to get a $30,000 loan to take a vacation."
Pattie looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it's okay, he knows the bank manager. Pattie explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.
The frog says "Sure. I have this," and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about half an inch tall - bright pink and perfectly formed. Very confused, Pattie explains that she'll have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into a back office.
She finds the manager and says, "There's a frog called Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000, and he wants to use this as collateral." She holds up the tiny pink elephant. "I mean, what in the world is this?"
The bank manager looks back at her and says... "It's a knick-knack, Pattie Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a Rolling Stone."
