HAPPY BIRTHDAY! YAY!... This birthday greeting goes out to Dave! and Daniel and also the same DanielLoL :) Current Mood: happy | Saturday, November 17th, 2001 | 5:33 am |
A night of magic! From an email I just got: "> Dear Sir or Madam, > > Please can you advise who I should contact to ask permission to include > www.neville-longbottom.com in the Only-Yellow-Pages global online directory. > > There is no charge, but we do need their permission. > > Thanking you in anticipation of your kind response, " Forwarded on by my kind site hoster, Ross. :) Finally gettin' the respect I deserve.. haha! :) The movie was incredible... as if it could have been anything else. =) Neville had several lines. JoshUA angered me by saying, "Ha! Neville is fat." No he is not. He may be slightly pudgy, but that is all. He is still a warm and mis-understood person. So hush. I need to implement some changes on neville-longbottom.com -- especially since it is most likely going to be getting a good deal more hits. My friend Brandon from back home (one of the former roomies, for those "vets" of my LJ who may remember back that far... hehe) is supposed to be doing some art/flash for me, since I lack artistic ability. He stopped when he got mono, but I think I nudged him into doing it again. :) I may go ahead and start doing some revisions this weekend since, as I pointed out to JoshUA a few times tonight, I have no life. Heh. In any case, today was excellent. :) My apartment looks a bit better than "The Hole" as James so callously called it earlier. It's not dirty... it's just cluttered. I need a dresser. Hint. Hint. After the movie, JoshUA and I went to Ian's party... it was very cool. I only knew JoshUA, Ian, and Josh... but still was cool. Quite mellow and some decent conversation, including a discussion about L.I.E.... so yeah, all in all a good evening. =) Anyhow, I'm outta here to get some shut eye. Night foo'z. :) ~ Neville ~ PS See? Once you see the movie, you will see where my name comes from. :P Current Mood: contentCurrent Music: Jimmy Eat World -- "The Middle" | Sunday, October 28th, 2001 | 4:31 pm |
Now that's a Canadian eve, eh b'y? :P I feel like a regular Canadian now... *channels his feelings* "Damn those Americans!" :P haha, j/k Last night was coolies. Went to see the Rheostatics in concert. Apparently they're a very well-known Canadian group... to Canadians anyhow. They had a very cool sound. Hard to describe... I guess the best thing I could say is combine some of Pink Floyd with Radiohead and add a twist of something else... that's the closest I can approximate it. In fact, when I was thinking in my mind "Man... they have this sound that reminds me of Pink Floyd from Dark Side of the Moon"... they mentioned that in one of their songs. Crazy, eh? :) It was a lot of fun though. We were out til 1:30 or so... Got back, putzed around on the net for 20 minutes, then went to bed. I got a good bit of sleep. Amen and a half to Daylight Savings Time! :) Nobody is calling or txt messaging me today... I feel so unloved! Heh. Gonna hang out with Steve tonight in 2 and a half hours... that should be coolies. Dunno what we're gonna do, but I think he wants to buy a CD, so I'm gonna pick up Weezer's newest album if we do. I'm going to their concert purely for Jimmy Eat World, but I figure Weezer's supposed to be awesome too, so why not give them a listen? Because of all my Cd's being stolen I'm not positive, but I *think* Weezer played a song on the Mallrats Soundtrack. I need to look into that, because I LOVED the entire soundtrack to that movie. I guess that's it for me for the moment. I'll be back in Sea-town either Tuesday or Wednesday. The determinant on that? Whenever they run out of urgent work, or else when they run out of money to pay me... at that point, I'll head home. :P hee hee Anyhow, laters folkseseses. :) ~ Nev ~ Current Mood: canadianCurrent Music: Run Lola Run Soundtrack -- "Believe" | 1:43 am |

LMFAO My new favorite episode of Seinfeld is: "The Strong Box" It's hilarious. Elaine's boyfriend is desolately poor... Jerry & George originally said he could be the Green Lantern. But they start describing his super-powers as a poor man. One of Jerry's great lines: "He can blow his bank balance with a single bounce!" I love this. I've been laughing my ass off. Going clubbing later.. Miss Gabby needs to call me. I'm watching Survivor 3... I missed the first two, but man, it's obviously different from the first two. There is a much bigger gap between the young and old generations in the tribes.. They're going into it with a "We have to be unified" policy. I guess that makes some sense, but I think they'll end up not having as many friendships as otherwise. I suppose that's not the point, though. But the younger group is being so arrogant. I sit here thinking "Man... if I were on it, I think I'd group with the older people." The older people are doing what is necessary. The younger ones are doing jack shit. Sad. Oh, and the gay guy? Heh. I don't like him. He's that sort of gay guy who annoys the crap out of me. He's way too queeny too.. Just my 2 pink cents. :P ~ Nev ~ Current Mood: okayCurrent Music: some commercial | 3:50 pm |
blah One of my bosses just called me up and was like "Hey, so how is your car doing?" I said "Umm, my car? What?" He said "Yeah, is it okay?" I replied, "Yeah, it's fine. Why?" He said "We need you to come back to Vancouver for like a week" :-/ So I will be going back up to Vancouver on Saturday and will be there for around 4-5 days, it looks like. So Steve, we'll be hanging out soon, I take it. Heh. I'm gonna go now, I'm pissed off I have to go back to Vancouver already. I *JUST* got back as it is. *sigh* ~ Nev ~ Current Mood: annoyedCurrent Music: Silverblue - "Do You Know" | 1:00 am |
How gay am IIII :-p Heh. First, I do NOT sound like a girl. Damn stupid man at the Seattle Men's Choir. Shit.. you'd think an office of fags would recognize their own kind. Ah well. :P I went shopping w/ Gabs and JoshUA today. Was fun, except when JoshUA felt the need to call attention to the fact I don't need to buy new boxers, since I don't have a boi... In his words: "Nobody will see them." Bleh. I will punch you for this later. Heh. I bought a TON of alcohol today.. Not in large quantities, mostly so I can be a social butterfly/butterfag(? haha) and have cool parties with nice mixed drinks. :-d I also bought a shaker/mixer, some glasses, and a blender. Woo. :) I made the Inaugural First Drink with it. See pictures below. :P It's called an Illusion. Problem is, my books are both from Australia... so they are HEAVY on the alky. Recipe, in case you are in love with said drink, since I made it: 1 part vodka, 1 part midori, 1 part lemon juice,1 part triple sec If you're not in love with it.. you're wrong. Make it. You like it. You love it. Yes. Thank you. :P Hmm. I bought some CDs too. The new cranberries one and REM's "Out of Time" Sweet. :) Memories. =) Anyhow, I'm outtie for now. I'll box your ears! Heh, sucky. First I found out Natalie Merchant *IS* playing here... but Ticketmaster won't let me on its site to order. GRRRR. Second, I call to check up on the Margaret Cho tix that I'm getting through MAVIN... The guy puts me on hold, then says the other guy is on lunch... but when he comes back from me being on hold he goes "Ma'am? Still there?" Ma'am? Excuse me? Damnit, I HATE that. Do I really sound *that* female on the phone? That pisses me off. :-/ Oh well. Going shopping w/ JoshUA in a bit. =) Spendin' money.. wooo :P Eh, that's it for now. ~ Nev ~ Current Mood: annoyedCurrent Music: Luchie Lou - "10 out of 10" | Tuesday, October 23rd, 2001 | 5:46 pm |
Baby got back Yep, back from Vancouver. Wooness. Drive wasn't bad. Yankees can suck me tho. Ah well.. least they won in NYC? I guess... heh. I got some decent stuff done today. I deposited money (WOO!), took back some sunnies for a refund (so I can save up for the nice ones I want), and have a big list of stuff to do. One of the company's co-founders was down in Seattle for the day and he came and installed the router + firewall combo for me. So now my computer is behind *three* firewalls. Heh. Nice. :P So if I can't send pictures or files via AIM or MSN, now you know why. Hehehe. For my cousin I heard last night that my great friend and net "cousin" has taken a turn for the worse and is in the hospital. Cory... I hope you know you have my best wishes and hopes that you make it out okay. I'll be praying for you, buddy. I hope everyone on my list says a prayer to God, Allah, Mother Earth, or whatever you believe in. If you don't believe in anything, just wish him well. He's a great guy and needs to stay around for a long time. You see my music's title, Cory? Dance, little puppet boy, dance! Last night was okay.
The club was nice... It was a lot cooler than any in Seattle. But then again, I've really only been to one, so I suppose I'm not giving it a fair shot.
Besides, I remember when I first went to Neighbours... I remember talking about how awesome it was, etc. Lol. Any type of a change is good, no?
I went to the FRONT, however, and waited an hour. Damn guy who didn't let me in sucks! Heh. :-/
There were some characters in there once I got in though, lol.
The most memorable one was a creation I call Bono-Skeletor. Yes, he looked like a combination of U2's lead singer Bono... and the villain from the He-Man series, Skeletor. He even wore the Bono glasses! He danced badly too. Very badly. lol.
As for me, I did not dance at all. In spite of the 4 drinks I consumed, it was not enough to pursuade me to dance. I require friends for that, so at least other people are there to shield me from the horror that is solo dancing. Heh.
I have a new corporate email address too. Yay... no more givingo ut my pathetic hotmail addy for work stuff. Heh!
Anyhow, I'm tired and have to be at work at 9:30, blah, so I am off to bed.
Talk to all laters

post-club Went to the club Odyssey last night. It was a nice club... It took me an HOUR to get in. I had a Seinfeldian moment... Remember the Chinese Restaraunt episode? The whole thing where they keep asking how long to get in and he says "Oh, 'bout 5 - 10 minute." And then they see people go in first who came in AFTER them. Yes, that's what happened to me. As he was recording my name, I couldn't help wondering "I wonder if he will identify me by my red jacket"... apparently yes, because I took it off (as it was hot in the waiting bar) and sure enough I got passed over. When I checked with him at 1 am, he goes "Oh, I passed over you ages ago honey." Thanks. I appreciate that. Heh. I struck up a conversation -- rather a conversation was struck up with me -- by a 36 y/o Victoria Island native (Who sounded rather Irish/Scottish as well). He seemed like a nice guy. But seeing as I am always "on my guard" when I go places on my own, I had my story crafted. I told him that my bf (who for the purposes of my story in all respects, was Bryden) was "running late." I don't think he bought it, but yeah. It was a fun club.. packed to the very gills... Just would have been much more so, had I had company there. *glowers at his Seattle friends who were unwilling to drive up* Damn you all! Heh. I used my moby a lot last night. Probably ran up heaps of roaming fees, but alas, such is life. So yeah... that concludes last night's adventure. I'm about to go to the office now. Weee? Talk to you all a wee bit later. PS McDonalds in Canada posts their exchange rate. I found it exceedingly cute that I paid for my hamburger and small coke with a USD $5 bill and got $4.63 in return. :P (Sure, itwas $4.63 in Canadian, but shut up.. it's cute. Cute, damn you!) =) ~ Nev ~ Current Mood: tiredCurrent Music: CNN is on... blah. | Saturday, October 20th, 2001 | 9:00 pm |
button, button... whose got my button? I am BORED. Heh. Tom and his wife are out at some wedding reception thing. I'm up here in Vancouver, B.C. for the next few days for work. This is going to be more and more frequent, seeing as the games seem to be winding down (even though we SLAUGHTERED.. and I mean SLAUGHTERED... the Yanks today. Yeah, Rob, I'm talkin' smack 'bout your team. hee :P The sucky thing is although I know some people here, they: 1 - Aren't my age, thus not likely to know the good clubs. [Sorry Tom ;) ] 2 - Aren't gay. Hence, they won't know good gay clubs to go to. 3 - I don't like clubbing solo So I need to make some gay friends up here in B.C., so when I visit on my soon-to-be more frequent business trips, I have somewhere to go and people to hang out with! Many mad propz to my biotch Doctor Bump for his call the other day. Sorry I wasn't very receptive. It was early (for me) and I felt like crap, so that's why I didn't talk long. You should call me sometime when you know I'm awake, you hoodlum! :P I may go out clubbing tonight after all. Solo and all. It's 9:12 pm... and I'm not tired anymore. So yeah. We'll see. So anyhow, if you know people in Vancouver... or North Van.. or wherever who are gay and wanna show me the town sometime, lemme know. That includes you! And you! And maybe even you... but not him. He's kinda scary. lol :P Anyhow, that's all from me. Life's ok... I'm working more than I should legally or physically (or temporally) be able to, but yeah. It'll pay off. Proof that I am: Muchas gracias to Mister Foley for the hat a few months back. :) The song I'm playing is the one I've been searching for from C89.5 for AGES! :) Hmm. I'm still cleaning. You can see part of the mess in the background of the pic. And NO.. I am not a tourist. I'm wearing a Seattle Mariners shirt that I got for free at work. It's a "sleeping shirt".. I.E. one I wear to sleep, but not outside, 'cos I'd look like a tool in it. Anyhow. I've been workin... like a dawg Mm. Down at SafeCo field right now. Yay. Heh. Kinda tired. I turned off my alarm and went back to sleep. I woke up and saw it was 12:54 pm... lol. And I should have been here at 1. Oh well. It's all good, everything got done in time. Yayness. Heh. Game starts at 5. I was telling Mr Foley how much the lead character from L.I.E. reminded me of him. It's hard to explain why... He asked "Is it because he's hot too?" Answer: yes. :P hehe... nah, not just because of that, mister Robness. :P Anyhow... Date w/ Collin tomorrow. Should be fun. I have my work cut out for me tonight... I need to clean my apartment, since I've been putting it off. It's still a royal mess. Heh. Speaking of Royal... anyone else hear 'bout Guiliani? He was made an honorary knight b/c of his efforts... Sir Rudy Guiliani Coolness. Ehh, lesse. Oh, I bought my ticket for the joint Weezer and Jimmy Eat World tour too.
