!!&*(£&Q;*^Q&*^!

1 day!

Gone tomorrow, so if anyone wants to get in touch with me, best way is a la hotmail at: serenova@hotmail.com

Incredibly excited that I'm finally off to Chicago tomorrow. Still have stabbing pains like ()!"£*(&"*!( in my ovaries, but I dare say I'll survive hopefully. More tests when I come home however :/

So I went and wandered round Covent Garden on my lunch hour, had my eyebrows properly plucked at Pout, and also went and bought a pair of Pants at Cyberdog as I really haven't any decent black ones.

They're the same pair Lex has, with red LCD's at either side, so not only am I Mini Kathryn & Elly, but now I'm also Mini Lex *grin*

Staying with glitchgrrl for a few days and hopefully seeing Berrianne and Sprite, and then meeting up with ellymew, Rachel and sparklydevil.

And on Sat. meeting all the lurvly agf girls for shopping in Chicago. *twirl*

*bounce* wish this day could go faster so I could go home and be with Tim. mwah.

Packwitches arrived like crazy yesterday, and amoung them weeeeee laaa bottle of faerie bath goodness and keen rockabilly dice hair clips and clothes bobbits from ratling *purrrrr* been in a bit of a crap state in regards to my health, so pressies and all cheered me up and I smell like lavender goodness.

*happy pixie girl*

Got Elly's top from Cyberdog as well, and am pretty much all packed :>

11 days till Chicago [harassing of Elly] & 1 day till Sam arrives! [Fri  11 Jan 2002|10:50am]
[ mood | cheerful ]
[ music | Madonna - Human Nature ]

I'm starting to get really excited about my trip now. There's so much to do and see in Chicago and I've never been there properly before.

Get to see everyone, club with Rachel and Elly :D and hopefully SparklyDevil from Detroit will come out too, have to see.

It amuses me to no end as well, that it's cheaper for me to fly to North America for a holiday then go somewhere within the UK/Europe, or it would work out at about the same cost, especially since I got the flight for only £99 and on British Airways too, no sleazy jet for me baby! ;)

Wish I could join quinnster when she goes to San Francisco, I could uhm like pretend I was the end result of some experiment she did or something. Uhm ok maybe not at all, but I can live on in that belief.

Trying to figure out when the hell I can make time to exercise as well, I wake up so early, go to work, leave, get home late and am dead tired, sit at a desk all day.

There are gyms relatively close to the office, but they're rather expensive, and the lunch hour gets quickly eatten up getting there, changing, quick work out, shower, change, get back to the office. However I wonder if I should just shell out for the LA Fitness at the Waldorf, which is only like 2 minutes away...just the cost is so much. Bah I don't know :/

Still though weekend ahead should be fab, harassing Kathryn, Ceri and Sam :)

ahahah, my Mom amuses me to no end, we're on the phone talking about my tattoo I'm getting in Chic, and she was saying she'd like *another* one, and asked me to send her the photo's of Elly's cat tattoos again *laugh* god I miss my family...

Back to work properly tomorrow, loathe to but not much I can do. califia should be in Manchester now, can't take any more days off because I've been ill and off the past week, so hopefully though I can go up one evening and head back the next morning...have to see.

Xmas tree is finally down now, made a damn bloody mess with needles everywhere but we cleaned it up rather quickly. I also seemed to have developed 'video game pain' being that I've been obsessively playing the Dreamcast I just bought and my hands are locked somewhat in the controller position, and when I'm falling asleep I can hear the game music. Most disturbing. Time to cut down on that I think.

The weekend was good, saw Mulholland Drive at the Duke of York's (lovely old cinema) yesterday, had lunch out and wandered round Brighton with Tim. *curl*purrr* and have spent the rest of it being extremely cosy and warm in our wee cottage drinking much tea.

Trip to Chicago is coming up quickly, I can't wait to see ellymew, glitchgrrl, Rachel and everyone. Won't come quick enough, and then when it does I'll be back on the plane home before I realize it :/

Always the case with holidays. I miss home and I miss New York, something about the city has stuck on me, and this was much before any of the 11th stuff happened. The last trip there in August was just especially fun, running around the city with the girls and doing touristy bits and what not. Went too fast...

Ice Sculpture from Winterlude

Holidays soon, hard to be away from my family, and even the city I grew up in. I'm extremely happy where I am now and who I'm with, just can't help but feel nostalgic or miss certain things I suppose. Wee listie of things I'm craving from back home right now.

- Fresh cold snow on my tongue
- Waking up with five cats sleeping on my head and trying to suffocate me
- Gay Dog in Xmas bandanna drinking watered down tea
- Annoying as fuck singing simultaneously blinking Xmas tree lights my Dad stubbornly always uses
- Downtown gorgeously sparkle in various colours of lighted brilliance
- BeaverTails
- Wandering the Rideau Centre, the Market and going for treats with Kim at Coffee Revolution
- Sparks Street
- Black Magic coffee at Oh So Goods (it's a bowl of coffee with hot chocolate, cinnamon and a scoop of ice cream *drool*)
- long 95 Baseline Bus rides on the OC Transpo downtown, just watching the city go by, discman playing, drawing worlds in the cold on the windows.
- Zaphods
- Hanging about the Glebe and staying over at Hilary's in her old attic bedroom
- Tobogganing in the suburbs on crazy carpets, GT snow racers and anything we could happen upon
- Kids In the Hall
- English Toffee Coffee from Tim Horten's
- Subway
- Holiday Performance assembly at Canterbury HS which would always end in our teachers coming on stage dressed like dorks and then proceeding to dance like uhm, well...dorks.
- Secret Santa/Candy Grams at school
- Weird Holiday meal served in the Cafeteria, which I always would purchase and then proceed in disgusting my friends by making into my yearly work of Modern Art, 'Ode de the Cafe Ladies'
- Julie giving us really freaking weird themed holiday underwear (the singing ones were just frightening)
- Double bills at the rep cinema the Mayfair
- Snow and school skiing trip to Camp Fortune or Edelweiss
- Muthafucka huge Pine trees
- Finding assorted half eaten candy canes in various coat pockets
- Walking about Parliament Hill

and mostly, my friends, my Mom, Dad, my Brother and all the kittens and gay dog...

mewmewmemw. The heat is back on in the house and it's divine! Thank god for small wonders eh.

Also I've been naughty and joined the legions of those with a wishlist. And no I won't get on my webcam and show you my tits if you buy me a book :p Not that anyone would actually want to see that anyway :p

Just bored at the office (as usual!) and compiled that since it's only 7 days till Kissymas, and a whole 98 days 15 hours 28 minutes and some seconds till my birthday. My parents have me doing my own Xmas shopping this year, so this also makes them feel like they're a bit more involved in the process I suppose :p

Done all my shopping though, just need to pick up a toykey and food bits on Friday from Sainsburys. Prolly get the tree up in the next couple of days, and the wee packwitches I made for people are currently sitting in my bedroom. I'll have to mail them out at the end of January, as I'm just too skint at the moment with bills and what not.

Our "lost" weekend was a good one to say the least; I am however paying for it now. Yes I never thought it possible, but it would seem a 3 day hangover *does* indeed exist. Perhaps longer, we'll see how I feel tomorrow. Alcohol also seems to bring out my latent powers of poor spelling among other things.

Jamie + alcohol + access to internet = bad

emach and quinnster the next day were rather bemused to show me what I had typed in that incoherant rambling flurry of keystrokes. And the 18 some comments in response to it. *shakes head* oh dear.

Uhm well glad to give you all a good laugh at the very least *cough* you're also probably noting how I'm trying especially hard now to sound eloquent and well composed :p I'm not fooling anyone am I? ;p

Recap of the weekend past, ended up seeing Tori on Friday at the Hammersmith Apollo. The show was divine, I don't know what I can say, but it was wonderful after all this time to finally see her perform live. Absolutely stunning and enchanting. The concert go'ers were also very nice, and I was able to see and hear the whole thing perfectly well - as opposed to other shows I've been to lately where beer has been spilled all over me, I've been stuck in a crowd of 8ft giants unable to see, and Elvis Costello stepped on my foot. So overall Tori divinegoddesssiren. *purrr*

Saturday we faffed about in the morning. Jo appeared, and we headed off to Kathryn's office to split some cells. She wouldn't wear the lab coat for me though *pout* I'll have to work on that one. Afterwards the bunch of us went to this lurvley Chinese place for dinner, and I'm craving to go back there currently. Went on a quest for this special perfume shop near Chalk Farm, ended up wandering around the area, which was really gorgeous, lovely old buildings and many cute wee shops decorated up for the holidays. Just felt wonderful really. I kept picturing us three done up in Victorian or Edwardian splendour (myself being the 'cousin' from the Colonies) wandering about hands in muffs, seemingly gliding around this Christmasy town, laughing and what not. And going for a tea! But apparently it seems going for a 'tea' is more a North American idea then from here :/ I'm not sure :/ well anyway, the perfume shop was divine, so lush and girlie. With really unusual perfumes from France.

Kathryn found her uhm I can't remember the name of it for the life of me? Amour de Caco and uhm this other perfume by the same company that smells of condensed milk, sugar and vanilla. So lovely. I couldn't stop smelling Kathryn! She prolly thought I was such a gimp with my nose stuck to her wrist, just so ooooh yum! I did however feel like an ox in a crystal shop spinning about and over excited by all the dear wee bottles of magic.

I found crazy perfume that smells of Violets, so dainty and sends me spinning back to bits in my childhood, so I ended up buying that. I keep opening it up out of it's delicate package, looking at it, turning it over and examining the twists and light of the bottle, and it's a perfume made originally in 1870 *twirl*. Little things amaze and make me very happy.

Headed back to Kathryn’s abode by way of the offie. Drank, watched Spaced and got ready. The Garage was a lot of fun, and we indeed as I mentioned below, danced and danced and danced. I also that night had about 5 bottles of Red and Barcardi drinks, which is unprecedented for me, as normally if I have 2 I'm gone, so you can see what state I was in at 5.

Felt like complete crap the next day, we all laid in and moaned till around 1ish and then went and had a greasy spoon breakfast, which was mmmmm soooOoO good and really hit the spot. Super good Veggie Brekkie *purrr* and tea tea tea!

Slowly made our way to Camden, which was full of annoying people as usual. Wandered about picked up an Iris CD finally, and got some more screws from Cobblers of the World to send off with my Transmuters I just sold on eBay. Man am I glad I've sold those, not that they're not really cool boots, but I just hate wearing them now and association with Cobblers of the World. I much rather buy some Storms from Dok at Pennangalan Dreams where the service and products are excellent, then lining the pockets of CCOTW, and make my own Transmuters. Plus I much prefer the elevator sole then the lift one. Heh I'm rambling too much about shoes now!

Anyway, Jo took back off home, and Kathryn and I got some KFC (Ya I know I'm a crap Vegetarian) and went back to hers where we watched Galaxy Quest. Excellent excellent weekend :> I just really love being around the UK goth girl contingent, as they're just really fun and dear I ever do adore them :>

So back in my own house now, the heat isn't working at all, so no hot water, no heat, and I'm huddled under duvets and house coats. I feel like a hamster the way everything is piled on the bed and I'm burrowed in so deep. Can't get the guy to come out and look at it till Tim comes back, so I'll be the duvet queen for the next couple of nights. Ahh well what can you do eh.

*twist*twist*twist*

went out dancing last night, monthly club - Lowlife in Brighton, and it was especially fun, possibly because I've missed the last three, possibly because the general atmosphere seemed happy, excited and giggly in general, so very good, and in my overexcited manner I most likely behaved very oddly, making twisty wee faces and big silent film star eyes. I twirled and twisted and stomped away to my hearts content on the dancefloor, so good to move like that.

More dancing shall ensue this weekend at the Indie night with Kathryn for sure, and off to Tori tonight *swoon*. Saw and talked to Clay last night for awhile as I haven't seen him in arse ages, as well as Cordy, Lucy, Randolph, Cliff and Debs - who let me crash at theirs on the futon with kitties, *puuurrrrr*. I really hope I didn't make too much noise stumbling out this morning, I tried to be oh-so-quiet, but managed none the less to trip over my own feet numerous times *sigh* oh dear.

Being very silly hyper-ma-b00 before going out last night with the webcam, listening to PJ Harvey and thrashing about getting ready. In other general ramblings, I have found yet even *more* nuts I have hidden in envelopes in my desk. I am *really*really* odd. When discovering some a few weeks ago while talking to Cole; I tried to explain that the reason I had put them in envelopes was because the cheap plastic bags they were in had ripped. I didn't want to just toss them, so the best thing to put them in, was a company envelope.

So it seems in my old age, I am becoming even more and more squirrel like.

[ mood | blissed-adventuring tales ]
[ music | David Usher - Black Black Heart ]

mrrrreeeow! My weekend was a some what crap, in the sense that most of it was spent being in quite a fair bit of pain and hepped up on painkillers, also having to skip out last minute on going clubbing with Cliff and Debs on Friday, and missing my sewing course on Saturday because I was in such agony. So that bit was quite bleh to say the least.

However despite the evil twisting death cramps that have seemingly followed me into work this Monday morning, my weekend was quite nice and very sweet. Spent most of it in bed, watching hours of Twin Peaks with Tim and just being all cuddling and curled and warmed and loved. Cinnamon tea and wee crumpets with jam snuggled under a duvet is definitely my idea of a wonderful time, if only I hadn't felt like I was being stabbed with a fork in my ovaries and having them slowly twisted and yanked out. I really do hate being a girl at times, or more specifically at once a month times.

.:in your head a thousand stars:.

twisting dreams again are holding me prisoner, only letting me partially escape them, while my wild child runs amuck in the land of Nemo. It's hard some times to differentiate with what is reality and what supposedly isn't.

As a wee girl I used to think there were two worlds I was living in, the waking and the dream, I was cut in two, and each side of me just thought the other side was simply a dream world, one would live while the other slept, never fully understanding. I feel like Peter Pan chasing his shadow to no avail and lacking in a Wendy to sew it back on. Always envying my dream land counter part.

Waking up hazy, feeling disjointed and as though I'd almost grasped something but it just slipped away as I was reaching out.

That other bit of me is still out there drinking star dust tea and nibbling on autumn leave cookies, holding court with her friends and devising plans of new adventures and journeys to the floating tree kingdom or the building of her own house on the rock.

Still I have my duvet, tea and crumpets and Tim, really, maybe she'll try and slip back over to my side one day.

.: And hold me for goodbyes-and whispered lullabyes :.

I'm starting to believe Jack Frost lives under my desk and is stealing the heat from my toes to defrost his eggnog.

Absolutely freezing, wrapped in a miasma of various coloured sweaters, which gets raised eyebrows from other co-workers. Apparently I am the only one Frost has so called "befriended" on this day.

I wish I could just disappear under this sea of sweaters and go far away. Various scenes from Labyrinth float through my head.

Man what was David Bowie thinking with those lycra crotch pants. Just really frightening.

Today has been very odd and surreal. I suppose listening to 'Like Cockatoos' in a mantra like fashion isn't helping things. I blame Elly and Cole...well ok not at all. but yes.

Two hour meeting, I sat there the whole time in the big plush 'executive' styled chair, listening to people on the speaker phone in Hong Kong, fidget in boredom, just as I was doing, except in London, fidget with boredom and feeling completely out of place. As though I'd just been dropped into the situation.

No one seemed to be speaking a language that made sense at all, it was English, but I have no idea what anyone meant. I looked around, quite perturbed and saw around me hideous terrifying clowns. Not birthday clowns, though they in their own right are quite sinister, these ones were more likeMump and Moot style clowns, yet devoid of the full range of emotion. These clowns were completely evil, manipulative, disgusting, huge and vile. Speaking a frightening grammalo. And there I was, party to this all, watching the bizarre scene unfold in front of me.

Well 2 hours eventually passed, and here I am, disjointed and extremely cold, curling my toes, watching the clock.
