Our "lost" weekend was a good one to say the least; I am however paying for it now. Yes I never thought it possible, but it would seem a 3 day hangover *does* indeed exist. Perhaps longer, we'll see how I feel tomorrow. Alcohol also seems to bring out my latent powers of poor spelling among other things.
Jamie + alcohol + access to internet = bad
emach and quinnster the next day were rather bemused to show me what I had typed in that incoherant rambling flurry of keystrokes. And the 18 some comments in response to it. *shakes head* oh dear.
Uhm well glad to give you all a good laugh at the very least *cough* you're also probably noting how I'm trying especially hard now to sound eloquent and well composed :p I'm not fooling anyone am I? ;p
Recap of the weekend past, ended up seeing Tori on Friday at the Hammersmith Apollo. The show was divine, I don't know what I can say, but it was wonderful after all this time to finally see her perform live. Absolutely stunning and enchanting. The concert go'ers were also very nice, and I was able to see and hear the whole thing perfectly well - as opposed to other shows I've been to lately where beer has been spilled all over me, I've been stuck in a crowd of 8ft giants unable to see, and Elvis Costello stepped on my foot. So overall Tori divinegoddesssiren. *purrr*
Saturday we faffed about in the morning. Jo appeared, and we headed off to Kathryn's office to split some cells. She wouldn't wear the lab coat for me though *pout* I'll have to work on that one. Afterwards the bunch of us went to this lurvley Chinese place for dinner, and I'm craving to go back there currently. Went on a quest for this special perfume shop near Chalk Farm, ended up wandering around the area, which was really gorgeous, lovely old buildings and many cute wee shops decorated up for the holidays. Just felt wonderful really. I kept picturing us three done up in Victorian or Edwardian splendour (myself being the 'cousin' from the Colonies) wandering about hands in muffs, seemingly gliding around this Christmasy town, laughing and what not. And going for a tea! But apparently it seems going for a 'tea' is more a North American idea then from here :/ I'm not sure :/ well anyway, the perfume shop was divine, so lush and girlie. With really unusual perfumes from France.
Kathryn found her uhm I can't remember the name of it for the life of me? Amour de Caco and uhm this other perfume by the same company that smells of condensed milk, sugar and vanilla. So lovely. I couldn't stop smelling Kathryn! She prolly thought I was such a gimp with my nose stuck to her wrist, just so ooooh yum! I did however feel like an ox in a crystal shop spinning about and over excited by all the dear wee bottles of magic.
I found crazy perfume that smells of Violets, so dainty and sends me spinning back to bits in my childhood, so I ended up buying that. I keep opening it up out of it's delicate package, looking at it, turning it over and examining the twists and light of the bottle, and it's a perfume made originally in 1870 *twirl*. Little things amaze and make me very happy.
Headed back to Kathryn’s abode by way of the offie. Drank, watched Spaced and got ready. The Garage was a lot of fun, and we indeed as I mentioned below, danced and danced and danced. I also that night had about 5 bottles of Red and Barcardi drinks, which is unprecedented for me, as normally if I have 2 I'm gone, so you can see what state I was in at 5.
Felt like complete crap the next day, we all laid in and moaned till around 1ish and then went and had a greasy spoon breakfast, which was mmmmm soooOoO good and really hit the spot. Super good Veggie Brekkie *purrr* and tea tea tea!
Slowly made our way to Camden, which was full of annoying people as usual. Wandered about picked up an Iris CD finally, and got some more screws from Cobblers of the World to send off with my Transmuters I just sold on eBay. Man am I glad I've sold those, not that they're not really cool boots, but I just hate wearing them now and association with Cobblers of the World. I much rather buy some Storms from Dok at Pennangalan Dreams where the service and products are excellent, then lining the pockets of CCOTW, and make my own Transmuters. Plus I much prefer the elevator sole then the lift one. Heh I'm rambling too much about shoes now!
Anyway, Jo took back off home, and Kathryn and I got some KFC (Ya I know I'm a crap Vegetarian) and went back to hers where we watched Galaxy Quest. Excellent excellent weekend :> I just really love being around the UK goth girl contingent, as they're just really fun and dear I ever do adore them :>
So back in my own house now, the heat isn't working at all, so no hot water, no heat, and I'm huddled under duvets and house coats. I feel like a hamster the way everything is piled on the bed and I'm burrowed in so deep. Can't get the guy to come out and look at it till Tim comes back, so I'll be the duvet queen for the next couple of nights. Ahh well what can you do eh.
