I'm new here.. I live in South Texas (which is practically Mexico.. ), born in Southern California (Culver City)..i'm Mexican, and of course, im a really big punk fanatic.. BUT I'm probably a bigger 60's punk fanatic. So, if you wanna hear some killer garage punk stuff from Hispanic LA bands in the 60's check out Thee Midniters - Jump Jive and Harmonize.. The Romancers - 'She Took My Oldsmobile' And 'Loves The Thing' (pure punk rock.. really!) and the Premiers - Farmer John (this one was an actual hit).. and many many others. Dont let rockand roll forget these great underrated bands!!

found this journal by accident, but everything happens for a reason right? So lets summerize, I'm hispanic, female, 15, and live in washington. Don't know many people like myself...or any hispanics at that. Since I'm here I should ask that very important question...what do you all think of stereotypes? I'm hispanic, and punk, so being called a beaner is not a compliment to me...very odd that you would call this journal "beaners" Has anyone else here felt the same way? Comment people. Let your voice be heard.
