There's a pattering of rain that will not come through Unless I open the window and I will not do that with you There's a cool cat sitting black on the iron fence And she stares and begs for something but it's only in present tense I am wandering aloud inside my thoughts I am pacing about the halls where things are made Into truth and innocence or put away. You tell me I am not to love the man I do He is clustered by his shadows and cannot or won't see through He is tiny in my heart as long as I am free But the truth is as I return, he is more than a flood through me I am wandering aloud inside my heart I am pacing about the echoing of time Over stepping stones that keep your world from mine And when do the worlds come crashing Maybe that's the reason I have to go Is it possible I could be the one you cannot know |

holiday. for once i have time to catch up on various bits of e-mail and journalling i have had no time for so long. my top ten cruise ship things in no particular order 1. it takes a certain type to live on a cruise ship. a kind of be-friendly or fail-to-ever-adapt kind. which means for the most part it's a really social, welcoming place 2. there often isn't enough time to think, which has started me overanalysing less (and journalling less, and e-mailing less, but i think my head needed a rest) 3. i needed some time around people who party and flirt instead of talking about weddings and buying houses. no, really. everyone in ottawa seemed to be settling down or leaving. sometimes it makes me feel like i am being immature or something instead of just different 4. everyone's frickin different. we all work professionally on a floating mini-city 5. i now don't giggle when i describe myself as an audio engineer. and i've dealt with so much technical well, crap, that not much phases me anymore 6. i've been to so many cool places already and i'm going to alaska! 7. i have enough money to chill out at home, do my favourite festivals and visit some friends in the UK 8. i now know how to say "Cheers" in at least 10 international languages 9. moving so much is helping me simplify my life a bit 10. for the first time ever, i am incredibly happy to be back in ottawa |

A Roosevelt yourself, you married your fifth cousin Franklin; despite the obvious incestuous overtones, your six kids were happy and healthy. When Franklin got elected, you became perhaps the most controversial first lady ever - you spoke out for the rights of women; for the rights of the poor; for world peace. You were even a member of a union while your husband was in office - and when he died, you were the head of the UN Commission on Human Rights. All of which is pretty kick ass, but to top things off you had a hot and steamy relationship with the lesbian journalist Lorena Hickok, who was so madly in love with you that she halted her career for you. Unfortunately, you couldn't give up your public life that easily - leaving her heartbroken. Bitch. Which Famous Homosexual are you? |

A GREEN Dragon Lies Beneath!I took the Inner Dragon online quiz and found out I am a Green Dragon on the inside. My Inner Dragon is the embodiment of Nature and the Earth. Greens spend almost all of their time below the canopy or just above the treetops in tropical rain forests. Not a bad life considering every other creature in the forest looks up to me, figuratively and literally. I speak the language of every animal and plant in my domain and know most of them by first name. If people mess with my forests, I'm more than happy to wail on their puny butts. Because of my protector/caretaker role, I am the Earth Elemental dragon. Naturally my whole life pretty much revolves around the other couple million species I keep an eye on, but that's not my whole dragon. I also like to like to impose my steadfast will on others, commune with Nature, and lobby governments for alternative fuels and conservation. My favorable attributes are gemstones, mountains, caves, soil, respect, endurance, responsibility, prosperity, and purpose in life. Folks shouldn't get the idea I'm a hippy pushover though, because my breath weapon is a nasty Fire/Acid combination. Maybe I should invest in a hemp shirt reading "Don't knock my smock, or I'll clean your clock." *wink* |

I Am A: Chaotic Good Elf Bard Mage Alignment: Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups. Race: Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance. Primary Class: Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit. Secondary Class: Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this. Deity: Hanali Cenanil is the Chaotic Good elven goddess of love, beauty, and art. She is also known as the Heart of Gold and Lady Goldheart. Her followers delight in creation and youth, and work to spread happiness, love, and beauty. Their preferred weapon is the dagger.
