Yay! Today Mom took my sister and I to the library to check out some books...I made her feel guilty by mentioning that after my surgery I'll be bedridden for three weeks...heh. Anywho, this is what I checked out: The Great Gatsby Wuthering Heights The Neverending Story Jane Eyre The Catcher in the Rye To Kill a Mockingbird Uncle Tom's Cabin Cane River I would have gotten more, but she said that was enough. I think I'm going to start out with The Catcher in the Rye.

Today was interesting. There was a fundraiser for this poor girl who has Leukemia (I'm praying for you) and the entire school spent our elective/p.e. classes outside. So they had the slip n' slide thingies going and music blasting and everything. (We'd heard b2k's "uh-huh" fifteen million times. Jeez.) Jessica, Rachael, Medina, and a bunch of others of us just kinda hung out and talked about people...lol (Medina: andrewandrewandrewandrew)....then we tossed the football around (with some unnecessary COMMENTARY from the damn PEANUT GALLERY - you know who you are)....after a little while I got so bored that I actually wanted to go to Geo class and listen to mr. givens drone....it was kinda sad. Not terrible - okay. Julie Ann sucks because she had it 3rd and 4th period instead of 1st and 2nd like normal people....lol. Rachel H. wasn't there, so I didn't have to worry about a huge catfight between her and Michelle and Medina and Brittany Mallory and Madison and Courtney W. and all those other people....it sucks being the middle man :\ Oh. And they made me sing for them...but Katherine P. wouldn't dance for us....:P Then, because Mr. Paine is messed up and he's mad because he's not getting any, we had a stupid "completing the square" test in Alg I H....I didn't finish. Blah. Math is stupid, anyway. When will I ever have to worry about negative b plus/minus the square root of b squared minus four times ab divided by 2a ever in my life? Unless I'm like Sean H. or somebody.....lol... This entry had no point to it, if you were actually looking for one...

Damn....I just feel so empty right now. We've had two deaths in the last three days, and it just suddenly hit me that I will never see those people again, smiling and laughing and just...living. It's very dismal over here. This stuff doesn't happen to us. Lezlee, my mom's friend and a member of our church, died Wednesday...she's a construction worker on the road - some idiot fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into her. The impact killed her instantly. And that's not the only thing. She's got a son, Erika's friend (and around her age)that doesn't have a father. So now he's alone. And Friday, Renee (like a second aunt to me) had a massive heart attack. She just keeled over....and that was it. My Aunt Betty must be feeling terrible....she and her were on bad terms with each other and never got the chance to make up... So now we have TWO funerals to go to tomorrow. TWO, in succession. Jeez....we need some SERIOUS prayer.

Subject: High School Suckyness Time: 9:08 pm. Mood: busy. Music: Will & Grace.

Wah...I didn't go to school today...I ditched. LOL J/K. When I woke up, I felt sick to my stomach so I crawled back into bed. Then, when my sister tried to wake me up, I nearly threw up. So yeah :D Missed 8th grade class pictures, but oh well. Yesterday was the CHS AMSAT orientation. I registered....so, yeah...I'm committed for at least a year if I decide to transfer, so I'm semi-excited. The great thing is that I can take two college-level calculus AP BC courses during senior year (if I stay) and skip it at the college. And, I can still participate in music and sports...I guess it's all good. LOL. Major disadvantage: Waking up at 4 am for the bus. Blech. Ehehe...sorry for the lack of entries. I've just been lazy lately. It's fun here in California. My sister and I flew out Saturday about 2:45 - and this time, it was only about a 30 minute flight because we went to Ontario instead of LAX. Thank GOD. That place is so chaotic. So the minute I land in Ontario Mom calls us on my dad's cell phone to tell me I got into Clark magnet. To tell the truth, I'm really not that ecstatic because I'm not sure if I want to go now. Yet if I decline, she'll probably kill me. Ugh. This is too hard of a decision to make. I'm trying to hold it off for as long as possible. I saw the Oscars. And was pissed. LoTR got nominated for 13 awards, yet only won FOUR. The rest pretty much went to Moulin Rouge and A Beautful Mind. A Beautiful Mind - which one Best Pic ANd Best Director. Damn, that Ron Howard needs to just go back to Happy Days and get it over with. Ian McKellen didn't even get Best Supporting Actor....grrrr... On the light side, however, Halle Berry did just become the first black woman in history to win Best Actress. And Denzel won Best Actor - both of these I assumed would go to Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe. Not to mention they honored Sidney Poitier as well, so I guess it was fitting. His speech was so moving, I didn't notice how long it was. I was so incredibly happy for them, especially Ms. Berry, even though her speech was....odd, to say the least. Good job, guys. Lala. I'm bored. Dad just bought me the Hybrid Theory cd *squeal* and I've been tormenting him with it. *evil grin* I made him listen to "Crawling" in the car ride home, really loud I might add, and it nearly blew out his hearing. He bought Mary Blige, and Erika got Aaliyah "One in a Million"....she's been playing that incessantly as well. Ah...musical bliss.

Hehe... Had a weird dream last night. In which I got to kiss both Merry and Aragorn. *grins like an idiot* But not at the same time...ew... Won't go into the whole thing. It was too freaky. But very yummmy. LOL. *falls over* Anyway, congratulate me! I finished The Return of the King a few days ago. I cried....the ending was sad when they departed. I was left with a few questions, however: (SPOILERS, BEWARE) What exactly ARE the Grey Havens? What happens to people who go there? It's just for the elves and Ring-Bearers, right? Eh, I'm confused. I'm still working on the Appendixes - those are hard to get past. Read Aragorn and Arwen's tale. Equally sad. Cried there, too. I just checked out the Silm and The Hobbit from the library, so maybe that'll clear things up for me once I get started. Saw the Golden Globes last night...dissapointing. I was throwing stuff at the television. Well, what can I say? Fantasy epics don't get much recognition in these things. I was at least happy for Moulin Rouge - I could deal with that. Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman KICKED in that movie. Caught glimpses of Elijah and Sean though, so all was good at the end. XD

I like this song :) Christina let me borrow her Sugarcult cd, and I've been listening to it all day because I have no life. Ahem...what else......oh yeah. I lost my voice today. Ultimate sucky-ness. Had music lessons this evening, and couldn't even squeeze out a tune. ARGH. And I didn't bring my piano book either, which provides even more substantial evidence to the fact that I have no life. The song I'm performing for Solo and Ensemble, "Amarilli, mia bella" is this absolutely gorgeous Italian piece that sounds awesome when sung by a capable soprano. Yes. *cough* Anyway, since my voice gave out on me, I had to make an attempt to sing it baritone, an octave lower at lessons tonight. And that's incredibly difficult, especially when it's sotto voce. Bah. I'm hoping that Jessica can accompany me on the piano, because she's just cool like that:) She's like the child version of Bach or Beethoven or something. I'm so jealous :P ::big effing sigh:::I still have way too many projects due this Friday. Yet I haven't even started most of them. Ah, well. I work best under pressure, anyway. Still no clue what I'm doing for my science project, since I'm too damn lazy to conjure up another idea.
