IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• We've recently changed the security structure of our login process, and now some users are having problems remaining logged in. We're aware of the problems, and are working on fixing it. Please see this post in news for more information

• LiveJournal is currently working on translating the site for internationalization purposes. If the site displays in a language other than the one you prefer, please choose the correct language here.

• Support volunteers cannot give out invite codes. If you are interested in creating a LiveJournal, you need to either know someone with an existing account, or you must create a paid account. The invitation codes are a solution to the massive popularity of livejournal.com, and if the policy ever changes, it will be announced in news. Also: Once an invite code is used, it cannot be returned to you. Invite codes are a one-time-use only item.

• LiveJournal is under heavy site and database load. Because of this, many aspects of the site will have problems intermittently. Posts may not appear immediately, errors may appear when commenting or attempting to read an entry, and site features may not function. We are aware of this issue and are making additional changes to our systems to further increase performance. Please do not open a support request regarding these issues, as we are working as quickly as we can. Submitting a request on these issues only serves to tie up volunteers that could be working to improve site performance to answer your request. Please add news and lj_maintenance to your friends list to stay updated on the latest site information.

• Recently, the number of stolen accounts has risen dramatically. To combat this, LiveJournal has implemented password quality checking for all users. If you have received an error that your password is easily guessed, please visit FAQ 18 for password change information. Further information can be found at this post in news.
