today my mom decided that we should pack up the knapp clan and check out east lansing. because, you know, it's not like i have ORIENTATION on july 10 and 11 (: lol.
oh well.
i saw my hall.. pretty nice, rather small, which is a plus in my book. i don't mind a lot of people, but i like the fact that i am only living with 3 floors of them as opposed to 6.
it was hot as all get out. oh my..
i got vaccinated... no meningitis for me. (well, as the lady informed me, i am only protected against 2 of the 3 "important" strains. that's nice. eep.) and now my arm feels like it has a bruise on it that's being perpetually poked.
lovely.
hung out with erin garrant tonight.. it's been such a long time! i miss erin! we went to the piemonte creamery in downtown royal oak and stopped by lily's to get my check. woohoo! and my address was FINALLY correct on it. (happy dance!)
then we came here and watched eddie izzard. (erin had never seen it - she liked)

hmmm yes. today was rather LONG.
woke up, went to church.
after church, LYO (youth group) had a car wash for the congregation. wooo goodtimes. i got kind of sunburned because i didn't have time to put on sunblock before cars started coming & then i forgot about it. oops. dumbass. we mad $217 in the 2ish hours we were there. not too shabby.
THEN i came home and went to the post office. (i was still all carwashed out.. dirty gross). 2 people, 1 guy and 1 girl shouted "hey laura!" from a car at the other end of the parking lot. i have no clue who they were. please, if you are shouting at me, make sure i know who you are. that bugs the heck out of me.
THEN i went home & showered.
THEN dennis came to visit for a little while, yay.
THEN i went to colleen's grad party, closely followed by erin garrant's. it was hella hot outside.
THEN i worked. my manager, renis, told me about how he's "hindu-shakespearean" or something.. i don't really understand, but it was interesting. he's a smart guy.. thinks a lot. then he told me to run out in the street and tell the cute girl who walked by that he was hired. (shrug.
THEN i went to kristen's and we baked cookies for jackie and matt (it was matt's bday thurs) and talked. therese came and we talked more about how people have changed... even since graduation. hmm.
then i came home.
THEN hoover called me. lol.
THEN i went online.
THEN i typed this.

i love yall.... stop it. but it's wasting your time.
you can survive the summer without a significant other.
i PROMISE it can be done. if a couple months without a relationship killed one, i would be dead and cold.
(i know i was whining only a little while ago, but i have come to the realization that there is nothing i can do now, and even if i could.. it'd be stupid because i'm leaving. hoover's rant made a lot of sense too.)

then hoover and i went targeting and old navying.. it was fun.. we shopped in the little boys' section & got some sweet cds.
then we came here and listened to bad canadians try to sing popular music.
then hoover left & came back. emily came and ate dinner. (yes, my friends are a little comfortable at my house)
ben came & we went putt putting, acquiring a julia.
saw matt shell when we went to the bathroom.

last night i went & got ice cream w/my fam after my bro's baseball game, and out of nowhere, shorty (sean sutherland) came barreling at me. it seems he just got his permit and was driving w/his parent when he saw me and stopped to say hello. it made me feel old to know that a frosh is driving, but it still made my night. haha, what a little putz (:

it's been fun..... minus "doodlebug craft time".
today the craft was "buzzoos"

you have no idea just how iritating a room full of 13 buzzoos sounds.
but tomorrow, tomorrow will be worse.
they have little stampers.... that you LICK.

i have been shopping more in the past 2 days than i think i have for the last 10 months. or something.
today with jess and caitlin.
yesterday with lauren.
saw that ya-ya sisterhood movie... the best part was definitely the part when the old ladies fight.

i think i am gonna turn into spider-girl... because i have a monster bite from some sort of insect on my knee.
i was just remembering while listening to this song... i actually saw a couple minutes of ozzie osbourne live in concert. that disoriented old man on television played at the michigan state fair - ha.

ahhh i am soo burnt out from endless running.
i love my friends.. but this many grad parties in one day plus work are hard to swallow.
i went and got coffee all by myself this morning after our work meeting (yeah, loser, i know)... but it was so nice just sitting and not talking to anyone and not having any attention paid to me. sigh...

i never thought i would come to the point where i look forward to weekdays (;

dang it, too much caffiene today, i have a headache and am still jittery.

at work, some lady blacked out twice. it was scary! :( they made ME walk her to the bathroom.

we went cruising woodward in taylor's convertible... that was nice.

i still have dave's hat & backpack.

kristen and i want to be 21... just so we can hang out in bars instead of being lost little 18 year olds wandering around downtown.

holy graduation parties, batman!
i had mine saturday, it was fun, thanks to everyone who dropped by (:
got some cash-money that will help with that whole college thing i guess.
ran around to several other parties that day too... tiring.
went to work bright & early this AM at 11. :P kinda sucked.. for some reason, father's day = large groups of people eating hideously SLOWLY. fabulous. i am gonna beat lily's staff collectively senseless with a stack of menus if they don't start explaining our seating policy over the phone.
gah.
had "hostess talk" with mrs. moultrup tonight at lauren's grad party. it's nice to vent to someone who has an idea of what i do at work. we want to write a book. ha.
yeah, lauren's grad party was nice tonight.
so was julia's.. ha, since i am super cool, i drove a troupe of "semi-jrs" out there. (; it was fun.
em's was nice too...
...
yeah. ashes from lauren's fire flew into my sandal. that was not cool. (shrug)

i think that tomorrow is the first monday i have ever been looking forward to EVER.
i don't have anything to do!!!!!!! (happy dance)
