Trip was awesome. Despite us only having ONE phone line right now, thank you thunderstorm and Sprint, I will post a rather detailed entry on the greatest trip of my adult life :)
Tuesday: Flights were fine. Saw Monster's Inc on the flight from O-town to Denever. Saw Bobby right away even in a crowded Vegas airport (smile) Bevy and Ryan were really cool to us the whole trip esp this first day when we kinda did our own thing. The Rio was a beautiful hotel and I would reccommend it to anyone going to Vegas. Great view from our room, back of the tower looking at the mtns which are all around you in Vegas. After some getting to know each other time, Bobby and I walked around the hotel, saw the stores and the show in the sky over the casino floor. We ate dinner at this 24/7 place in the hotel. Went to Harrah's around 9 and met Ryan and Bevy. Walked to the Aladdin where there's a Build a Bear among other stores. Saw the fountain show at the Bellagio which made my trip complete on the first day. It is the most romantic thing ever, and free too. It was cool to just stand there watching the fountains with Bobby's arms around me. Had drinks in Harrah's at the outdoor bar. Had MORE drinks back at the Rio where we sat and chatted, telling some fun stories that you'd only tell drunk.
Wednesday Bobby and I slept in, had a late breakfast which was really good. Went to Ceasar's palace & Bellagio which was FUN> Ceasra's has fun shopping and the only IMAX 3-d ride the in world, Race for Atlantis which we saw. I bought a fun lip gloss from VS, Bevy calls them her weapons. Had this fun late lunch back at the Rio, really good panini sandwiches before going to the Flamingo to see Second City, a great improv comedy show. I wore this cool fun halter dress that has been named The Hampton's dress by Bobby, Bevy and Ryan. Bobby and I walked around a little before going back to the Rio after the show.
Thursday Bobby took me to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory in Ceasar's Palace. YUM Chicken Medallions w/ rice and all the diet coke I can drink. Which is good considering all the alcohol I had this trip! Then we took the monorail from Bally's to the MGM Grand, which is the best place for kids to stay in Vegas. Great stores and a zoo IN the hotel. We walked to the New York New York, saw the Coyote Ugly bar had smoothies very good. Went to the store in M&M; world to get something for Bobby's Nannie who collects M&M; stuff and then WALKED all the way back to Harrah's. A long walk in the HOT sun. Bobby and I colled off with a fun drink in the Rio bar again. YUM. Dinner was the most amazing experience ever. We ate at the VooDoo cafe on teh 50th floor of the Rio, my b-day dinner. Had a pre-dinnner cosmo, drank some of the 10 shots in the HUGE drink "Everything the witchdoctor ordered' and did the two mudslide shots that came with dessert. Had really great steak. The view oh the view. Sunset view of the strip & the mtns. AMAZING. We went up one more floor to the outdoor bar and just talked for a while before Bobby and I left. We were going to go to the Venitian but decided to stay in the Rio and just chill. We hit the casino and lost the $5 we each put in, shopped it was nice to spend QT together.
Friday was an eh-day. It was weird to be up so early for once! I was really sad to leave Bobby and cried the whole time in the airport. We had flights in the same wing so that was good, he staied with me till my flight left. Landing in Denver I got airsick and spent the next 6 hrs in the same shirt! Nasty. But that was the only downside of the whole trip. I wasn't interested in the movie, high crimes, so I listened to the Cheryl Crow channel on the plane radio. Awesome. I was kinda apprehensive of Bobby being there but HE MADE THE TRIP. Bevy and Ryan really liked him, asked us when we were getting married, made jokes with us etc. It was such a great time. GO GO GO GO GO TO VEGAS!
