The Luciano widows. Vengeance will be theirs…

Following a terrible, bloody Mafia retribution, five women are all that remain of the Luciano clan – seemingly helpless after the murder of their husbands and the brutal destruction of their inheritance. Their rivals thought they had eliminated all danger. They were wrong.

RJP gets major screen time with on-screen Mom Vanessa Redgrave. As in greatest-actress-of-her-generation Vanessa Redgrave. If she ain't a dame, she will be one day. I've never hugged an Oscar winner, but RJP has. No way would I have slept the night before shooting began.

RJP stttrrretttccchhes in this Sopranopera. He stutters. He weeps for his murdered brother. He shyly woos his murdered brother's girlfriend (Nastassia Kinski, who is simply exquisite). He gets to carry her out of the church and twirl her around. He nurtures twin sons - I hope he has kids in real life because he looked genuinely comfortable bouncing the kids on his knee. He gets a grown-up slicked back hairdo. The only thing that would have improved this for me would have been 1) if he lived through Part 1 and 2) if he fooled around with Jennifer Tilly.
