Launched as part of the Universal Action Pack that made Hercules and Xena household words, Knight Rider 2010 could have made series star RJP the next David Hasselhoff. In fact, the movie out-performed all other Action Pack titles in households and male demos, including the movie that spawned the Kevin Sorbo series. But the built-in Knight Rider audience rejected this attempt to reinvent the series. The lowest fan rating I could find is 0.0001 out of 10.

Set in the Southern California of the 21st Century, RJP plays Jake McQueen, a fugitive smuggler with a penchant for high-tech mechanics who is on the run from Jared, an internal organ thief who killed his dad.

Jake seeks vengeance on his father's killer, and bonding with his estranged brother (Michael Beach from Third Watch) in a really hot car not voiced by Dr. Craig from St. Elsewhere.
