SJP picks up RJP when they both go out to smoke. He plays a recovering alcoholic who isn't supposed to be starting any new relationships. SJP insists (what else is new on this show) and he ends up getting addicted to her instead.

Only a handful of actors survive longer than one episode on this show; our man is not one of them. Like many men on this show, he is humiliated by going on a bender and running naked through the streets at the end of the ep. Of course dating Carrie could drive anyone to their substance abusing ways. On the plus side, his storyline could have been about open door dumps, peeing on sex partners, skidmarks or some other scatalogical plotline on this "sophisticated" show. I don't know if I could have handled that.
