Joshua joined CDT as a law clerk in Summer, 2000, after finishing his first year at Seattle University School of Law. His interests include free speech, privacy, and copyright law. At CDT, he is currently researching issues in Digital Discovery when a civil plaintiff seeks discovery of an anonymous Internet user's identity.
Before law school, Joshua was a contract web developer on the Seattle Eastside scene. He has also been a drummer with Seattle-area bands for many years. Joshua earned his BA in ethnomusicology at the University of Washington. Born in Virginia, Joshua grew up in the fertile farmland of eastern Washington state.
