NAB Research & Planning is dedicated to providing quality research to NAB staff and its members through surveys, industry analyses and other projects. The department tracks and analyzes a broad range of broadcast topics including financial data, ratings research and improvement, station personnel statistics, consumer trends and technological advances. The department also organizes NAB convention on-site research sessions and works closely with the academic community.

NAB Information Resource Center maintains a collection of trade magazines, directories, and reference books.  Information specialists are ready to answer  NAB members' questions about the business and history of broadcasting, and also make referrals to experts on the NAB staff and throughout the industry.
