| List rant, list rant...it's supposed to be fun. When it turns stressful, that totally defeats the purpose. I made pact with myself that I wasn't going to let any list stress me, and if it did, I was leaving it. If it was my own, I would straighten it out. End of story. I just wonder if I can *ever* find one that talks about NSync the way it should be talked about - a lot of talk about tv stuff, magazine stuff, generally fun facts, news, experiences, etc. For that is why I wanted one to begin with. Case in point - my friend Andrea and I have a New Kids one that we've had for about 6 months now and it's SO much fun. It doesn't generate a zillion emails a day, but everyone has fun talking about the guys and we come up with fun weekly questions and it's cool. Why can't I find an NSync list like that? | ||||

Ok, ok, ok...so I'm not deleting the entire list. I really do enjoy it too much. I was pretty mad this morning, and I think for good reason, because I was totally confused. It just seems like the list hasn't been going as well as I'd hoped here lately, and I can't figure out how to make it work. I just want NSync online to be fun like it used to be, and by getting off of a few lists that really were stressing me out, I'm getting it back. That makes me SO happy. So I'm working on that and I want *my* list to be a place of fun, not a place where people get haughty and mad at each other. I just wish people could all get along, but I guess people aren't all going to get along anywhere in the world, so I shouldn't be surprised. But please, can't we all just get along? :-) |

1. When do you put your Christmas/Hanukah decorations up? The weekend after Thanksgiving usually, and they are all up, except for the outside lights. I guess Dad and I will do those this weekend if the weather is good. 2. Do you prefer to use Christmas lights that are all one color, or do you go for the multicolor effect? For the tree, they have to be multicolor because that's how it's always been since I was little. The ones we use outside and on the back porch are clear. 3. Real tree or fake? Fake - my parents gave up on the real tree years ago when I was still a baby and plus mom wants it up way ahead of time. 4. Where do you get your tree? I have no idea where this one came from. The little one I just bought for the computer room came from Lowe's. 5. Perfectly shaped tree, or one with character? With character! No tree is perfect and if it is, it doesn't look real. 6. Where do you put your tree? The big one goes in the living room (sitting room) in front of the window. I have a small one in the computer room, and there's a snowman tree on the back porch. 7. Tinsel or garland? Tinsel but we don't use it anymore. We opted for gold beads. Very shiny. 8. Blinking lights or solid lights on the tree? Solid. 9. What sits on the very top of your tree? A big bow w/the streamers coming down the tree. Very pretty. 10. Eggnog or hot chocolate? Ew, eggnog, ew. Hot chocolate anytime! 11. What does your family Christmas/Hanukah feast consist of? Christmas Eve dinner is usually steamed shrimp w/salad and jello salad. Really. Yummy. Christmas breakfast is whatever mom decides to cook, but my grandma is having it this year, so who knows what she will have. Christmas dinner is usually ham w/the veggies, salads, and my rolls. Plus all the cookies and grandma's chex mix. Yummy! 12. What day do you typically hold your Christmas celebrations? Starts Christmas Eve w/dinner with my grandparents (mom's side), then Christmas day we have brunch with them, and usually see Dad's family that night. My friends and I usually manage to help Christmas last several days w/gift exchanging and stuff, too. :-) 13. When do you open your presents? I've always been allowed to open one Christmas Eve, then the rest Christmas Day, but lately we started opening our stockings that my grandma fills on Christmas Eve instead. 14. Do you open them all at once, or one by one? Oh, one by one. It lasts longer and you get to see what everyone else got that way! 15. Favorite Christmas movie? Ok, here's the rundown of my favorites that must be watched or else Christmas cannot come - "White Christmas" "Santa Claus, The Movie" "A Christmas Carol" (80's one) "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (cartoon) "Mickey's Christmas Carol" "Charlie Brown Christmas" "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" 17. Stupid thing. BIG thanks to Sara for my new Christmas icon!!! I had quite the trouble uploading it b/c LJ is being a pain tonight and now I can't get back into viewing my friends but oh well. Maybe later. So, Thanksgiving was nice, even if I am sick with quite the head cold. I'm ready for some sleep though. I'd like to stay up to see ER but that's why God invented VCRs. I hope all of you had a good day as well. FYI for anyone who's interested -Nordstrom.com is having a FuMan Skeeto sale w/stuff leftover from summer. Stuff is half price. Sucker that I am, I ordered one. Hey, half price is good. Can't believe I have to work tomorrow but I plan to not stay all day. Hopefully.
