the white stripes - why can't you be nicer to me? |

oh man, when they replay the vma's i have to watch the first part that i missed. i missed the hives and the vines <3. and GUNS N' ROSES!!!!!!!! woah, was i ever suprised to hear about that today. THEY DID WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE AND PARADISE CITY AHAHAHAHAHAHAA. i loved guns n' roses so much when i was little. me, a 4 year old little girl, swooned over axl. slash made me laugh with the hat and hair and all.
i remember mom would listen to appetite for destruction nonstop. that, and the black crowes' shake your money maker, aerosmith's pump, and faith no more's the real thing, among many other late 80's mtv favorites. a few weeks ago, mom pulled out the old black crowes and i still knew all the words to every song.
it's too bad mom isn't her 80's self still, when she listened to hair bands and watched nothing but mtv and played duck hunt with me. i hope i don't turn into a bitch with age like that. but maybe it's just cause she feels she doesn't have to be gentle with me now, since i'm 16 and not 4. that's dumb though.
during morning break, i'm always out in the hall sitting in the floor, listening to my headphones. and it's actually the best damn part of my day, getting to hear my music, it's a little motivation to get through these monotinous, crappy days. this week, i've been wearing them around more.. today, someone commented "do you ever take those things off?" and i just smiled, not knowing really what to say. i wish i did never have to take them off. i do need a lot of new cd's though.
in english class, i have to write an essay about my hero. i can't choose who to write about. they have to be one of my musical influences though.
a while ago i was watching one of those satellite channels that are just a blank screen and they play music, and the title hadn't shown up yet and i had never heard the song before. but i was like "hey, that sounds like michael bolton", and sure enough his name pops up. i dunno if that's something to be proud of.
i am not feeling too well.
