daimlerchrysler called for a 2nd interview...they're kind of not flexible about when it is since i have to miss a 3 hr class to go to it (it's a 5 hour interview) but hey...whatever...it's a big 3 company and they want to talk to me!

*tsk* some people are such unsupportive friends.
maybe instead of ranting about someone in your journal so the whole world sees what you think, you should try to keep it between you and your friend. and maybe instead of leaving accusatory comments you should call or IM her/him instead of making your disdain public.
maybe i'm wrong here, but that's probably the reason you don't have friends. hey you're having a crisis...i'm going to yell at you. well there's some f*ed up logic.
(in case anyone is wondering, i'm not talking about me or my friends or sorority so don't have a heart attack)

ok so the ThyssenKrupp job got offered to someone else, but the 2nd interview with them went well and they said that if i wanted to i could come on with them next summer. i think they're concerned that my expected grad date is like end of 2005/mid 2006
MASCO and Bosch want to talk to me, and I sent a resume over to the Ford MIS department so maybe that'll happen b/c my mom and aunt know the guy in charge of it. nice to have connections

Sometimes I wonder about things, and how they would be if people were less influenced by others and learned to think for themselves. This is something we are supposed to learn in school but sadly some people are too busy talking and not listening at all.
I find it amazing to think that people affiliate themselves with others based on something other than synergy, character, and common values. I think it's weird that a person would want to be allied with someone, no matter what values that person supports. Like a puppy dog, blindly going where that person leads them and barking loudly the whole way to let everyone know that they're being strung along. I believe it's fine to like a person and want to be like them, but I find it odd and amazing that a person would latch themselves on and say that whatever that person thinks is what they'll think too.
I'm here on this earth to do something, but I'm not really sure what that is yet. I find myself associating on a regular basis with people I'd like to be like in values and in good moral character. I find myself looking for the good in people and not for the latest reason to dislike someone. I don't want to know what the lastest gossip is, because frankly my life is simpler without it. I find myself disagreeing with friends and debating until I can understand both sides of a story instead of just my own, often too narrow, viewpoint.
I think I'm a minority in this world.

long story short:
had my interview with ThyssenKrupp Steel North America (www.tksna.com) yesterday
3 hours later i got a phone call from the office saying they wanted me to come in for a second interview next week.
it's a supply chain management job, but it looks promising sorta...so we'll see. it's $15 an hour, 40 hours a week...a few months so whatever i gotta do, i'll do. but i'm still looking for that MIS job.

I just got home from Chicago a little while ago! It was soooo great but I don't have time to tell all about it right now. I just checked my voice mail and found out that I have an interview with Daimler-Chrysler on Tuesday at 2:45pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The lady at the internship office said that they only picked a few people for the interviews from the MIS program so I'm super excited and I am super nervous at the same time. I already put out 2 suits (one pants, one dress) so that I have options on Tuesday. EEEKK!!
I still have to get my references together, and bring copies of my resume, but I really hope I get this job :)

whoah. Father Kelly at St. Thomas a Becket is in trouble....someone accused him of sexual abuse from years ago...and I guess he's suspended.
I know that guy...he used to come into Rose's a lot...we had a main course on our Specials menu named after him..

haha jason's mom was so funny last night i just remembered...
she turned onthe tv and MTV was on, and she sees the new Usher video and goes 'I bet this is Usher" and we were like "how the heck did you know that" and she goes "i'm down, i'm jiiggy wit it...all up in that" lol and then she says "i bet chingy is up next"
hahahah i was dying. she's so funny...earlier she and laura were joking around and mrs. h says to laura "bitch" and laura says "slut" and mrs. h says "ho" lol man. just like my mom. glad my future mother in law is so cool :)

aww i talked to brian and jamie last night...that's 2 old friends in one day!
jamie is doing good, but he's bored and feeling the lack of boys that like boys in steamboat, so he is planning on moving to denver in august. barney died around thanksgiving, which i did not know, and i'm really sad to hear that. i loved barney and sissy and their overbites. sissy has a new friend named buddy but she hates him, so that's sad.. i miss jamie sooooo much it's scary. i'm glad he's coming home around our birthdays (April 11-14th...it's a celebrated week let me tell ya..i'll be 21 and he'll be 22)
so yeah after i got off the phone with him i got an IM from brian and we talked for a bit. he's doing well and i was glad to hear from him...he's never online b/c his apartment doesn't have the internet (cuz he pays his bills and mommy doesn't anymore hehe)
