[Mar. 31st, 2003|02:07 pm] [ Current Mood | happy ] Had a great 25th Birthday weekend with TomKat (cernnunos6669). Watched Dogma Friday night (that movie fucking ROCKS! If you haven't seen it yet, rent it NOW!), it was absolutely fabulous! Had breakfast at The Grind Saturday morning, then off to the Metreon for shopping, browsing and to see Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - yay for hot hobbit man-love! Almost went hog wild at the Playstation store... Got Amplitude (part two to Frequency - play the notes to songs, trust me, it's more complicated than it seems), and Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (I didn't think I'd like it, but I actually kick ass). We were going to go out for a nice dinner after the movie, but were both tired and impatient to get back home and play the games. Turns out Prophecy arrived while we were out, so watched that while we had burgers and fries from Burger Joint. So the weekend was games and movies, with a bit of reading thrown in - questioner gave me an advance copy of Cerulean Sins: An Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Novel (an absolutely PERFECT gift, thank you!). I just now tried to cancel my Amazon.com order for it (couldn't do it manually, sent an e-mail in the hopes they can stop it before it ships tomorrow, if not, I'll just ship it back and get a refund). Super Yummy 'Garlic with Bread' [Mar. 24th, 2003|11:44 am] [ Current Mood | hungry ] 8 cloves garlic, run through garlic press 3 tbls. room temp butter 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. dried rosemary or basil 1 tbls. parmesan cheese Freshly ground sea salt to taste Lots of freshly cracked black pepper Mix all together and spread on french bread (I used one section about 6" long, cut in half). Broil until brown and crusty on top. Optional: when done, sprinkle with shredded cheddar and put back under until bubbly. Expect to have garlic breath for 2 days.
