Chanda Rubin
Louisiana native Chanda Rubin may have had an edge in the heat.
 
Two top seeds needed three sets to advance Thursday at the Acura Classic in California. American Chanda Rubin won in just 74 minutes, but she had to regroup along the way. Justine Henin-Hardenne lost the first set and trailed 4-2 in the second during a marathon victory.

Roddick-Rusedski Rematch
Andy Roddick (pictured) and Greg Rusedski glared their way through a Wimbledon match not long ago. At the Legg Mason Tennis Classic on Thursday, Roddick continued his recent mastery, winning 6-3, 7-6 (4). Top-seeded Andre Agassi also won.
