Tom Lemming's on the recruiting road again.
Lobbyists aren't the only people looking to sway opinion in the D.C. area. Recruiters descending on area prospects will find the talent level down a bit in Maryland, but Virginia's Class of 2004 is loaded on both sides of the ball, writes Tom Lemming.

CHATTER BOX
"This year it's USC in the West. Texas in Big 12 country. Michigan over Ohio State and Notre Dame in the Midwest. Penn State in the East, but BC and Pitt are coming on strong. The most fighting is in ACC country, where there are great recruiting battles between UVa and Virginia Tech and UNC and NC State. None of them give an inch. In the Deep South, the 'Canes were the rage last year, but it is split between Florida, Miami and Tennessee this year."
