Since I am the owner of this community I will allow myself some promotion.  Carrot Juice is now 99% complete. It is going to be a great resource for veg*ns and animal rights activists. At Carrot Juice you will find forums, Recipe trading, You can submit news and your protests and activism, and personals just to start. First, before you decide to join, take the time to read through some rules/guidelines established here.First of all, this is an open friendly "adult" community. Adult means 18+. Because of the nature of this community I am forced to make this a closed community. All entries are defult to friends only. The LJ TOS and federal and local laws prohibit me to "contribute to the delinquency of minors". Not my rule, not my law. Blame the man. The maintainer will be checking the DOB on your info page, so be sure that is filled in and correct. You will be denied if you are under 18 and/or there is no DOB filled out. Send all membership requests to i_am_vegan at hotmail dot com Play nice, no flaming. Flaming will result in a verbal warning and/or public stoning and/or immediate banning at the sole discretion of the community maintainer. If you don't like what you see, move on. Secondly this is an all-inclusive community dealing with vegans/veggies. Omnivores are welcome - "You will be assimilated". What does all-inclusive mean? Look at the interests listed. That is what all-inclusive means. Because this is an all-inclusive community, it is by default "friends only" post. No need to worry about roaming eyes outside this community. No need to worry about marking the post friends only as well. What is not allowed: quizzes, im, conversations or anything that will be more appropriate in you personal journal. Use discretion here and keep on topics... Here are some suggestions: If you post anything risqué use lj-cut for those of us that view from work/school/in front of minors. If you make a mistake in your post, please edit the post instead of posting another entry "trying again". "How do I edit?" you ask? It is simple, just click on post comment, then right in between the heart and envelope is a pencil. Click on the pencil and voila! You can now correct your entry.
