I am finally 18!

It's off to get ready for yearbook, *sighs*. May 28th can't come soon enough.

The entry before this one is friends only because honestly I have too much on my mind to get caught up in being the topic of everyone's conversations this weekend.

I was a little bored. okay, maybe not just a little bored, EXTREMELY bored so I decided to update. I know, I rock. ;)

The past two weeks have been so incredibly busy it's unbelievable. And I don't even want to think about next week! I was just filling out my calendar for February & next week, I have to cheer at 4 games & 3 out of the 4 are away! :( Tuesday we go to Kelly, Wednesday is girls only at home against Rye Cove, Friday is at Appalachia and the worst one the week.. Saturday is at Haysi. On top of that, Wednesday I have a HUGE PreCal test & the Spring Conference FBLA Executive Board meeting. Speaking of the PreCal test, Chesney, do you wanna get together & study sometime next week before it? But, hopefully I will survive. If I could make it through these past 2 weeks, I can handle another crazy one next week.

Knoxville was great! Blair and I had a blast even though it seemed like we were tired the entire time. lol. We passed Cody & Kegan on the way down, which was very trippy. It was nice just to get away for the weekend and it was great seeing Evan & hanging out with him & the roomies. Boone & Zingo made us feel so welcome. And Boone gave me & Blair some killer advice.. lol. Isn't that right BQ? So yeah, great time. Homecoming is tomorrow. We play Clintwood. I got nominated for homecoming court, which is cool. Even though I doubt I'll win.. I hope Sarah does, she deserves it. :) But yeah it's gonna be fun to dress up & all that. hehehehe. I live for stuff like this. Blair helped me pick out my outfit last week at Maurices & I can't wait to wear it.

All in all, I can't complain. I've got plans Saturday night & that's all I'll say about that. hehehe. But I guess I am gonna quit boring you all. Take care.

Yeah I am actually updating this time. It's hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner. I am not really prepared this year, everything has just snuck up on me I guess. But I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas & a great New Year. Especially those going to NY, have a blast for me guys!

The break thus far has been pretty boring. I've done a lot of thinking & watching movies. Thanks to this huge snow, I've been stuck in the house for days. Luckily I escaped to Sophie's house last night to spend the night. We stayed up late watching movies, talking and just being stupid. We got up this morning & talked about college, prom, senior beach week & all that. I am really going to miss you Soph! I got home around 3:30 today and since then I've just layed around. I have downloaded like ten songs and I just finished watching How to Deal. I have to admit, the book was so much better.

Ya know, it's really funny how things change. I (like many other people here recently) was reading over past lj entries. I was up pretty late Thursday night laughing and crying over all the memories. I know you shouldn't compare things to the past, but how can you not? Things just aren't the same. Nothing can compare to those times we had in Gate City last summer. A year can make a huge difference in peoples' lives.

I've been single for so long and the past couple months it has just been lonely. I just miss all the little things about having a relationship. Just a year ago, I threw away so many great people I had just like it was no big deal because I wasn't ready for someone. Now that I am finally ready to have one, nothing works out. Isn't that just my luck? lol. I keep thinking that this isn't the right time for me to get into a relationship where I am leaving for UVA in August, but that's a little over nine months away! A lot can happen in that amount of time.

I finally got to talk to someone last night on the phone. He's gone tonight otherwise I was going to drag Sophie with me to go see him so I wouldn't be alone. But he's got my number and we're going to get together soon. It's going to be great getting to know someone again, plus this guy just seems like he has great potential. He's just my type. *sighs*

But I guess that's about it. I hope all is well with everyone & that they are enjoying their break & the snow. What's everyone doing for New Years? Leave me some comments guys & let me know! :)

It's been a great Thanksgiving break. :)

- the news from UVA, wow! I am still in shock & more excited than ever!
- snow, snow, snow! i cannot believe it snowed!
- Mom took Tess & I shopping on Saturday & I found lots of great deals.
- I started the Atkins diet on Friday & I am doing great with it.
- Spencer Lormand (aka, FBLA National Parliamentarian from Louisiana for all you non-FBLA'ers) gave me some sort of a shoutout in his Xanga, a personal shoutout.. lol. Woooo hooo!
- Monti & Pat also got in UVA too!
- College football was incredible Saturday & definitely in my favor!
- UVA beat Tech, 35-21. Wow, Go Hoos! bragging rights for a year. lol.
- UT beat Kentucky and tied for first in the SEC East with Georgia. No SEC Championship game, but hey.. they are 7 in the BCS!
- Mom cooked Thanksgiving dinner & it was delicious! I then took a nice long nap.
- Boone went hunting with Evan & Dad so I got to see him before they left. :)
- Blair, Soph & I watched Pirates of the Caribbean on Wednesday & let me tell ya.. I actually liked it. :) ALOT. Orlando Bloom baby!

okay.. I am running out of *great* things to say. lol. I've got a BUSY week ahead of me. PreCal quiz tomorrow, Poli Sci quiz on Tuesday & gymnastics, cheerleading Wed & tons of other stuff. Mostly getting ready for finals at MECC... grrr.

But thanks to everyone for their congrats comments, phone calls, messages, emails everything. I love you all. :)

I am one of 872 students out of roughly 2,368 applicants to be accepted Early Decision to the UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA!

I opened the letter today and began to cry and shake. I did it!

UVA, Class of 2008... Wahoo-Wa!

I just got home from NFLC in Baltimore. :) I had a GREAT weekend meeting everyone from the Eastern region & hanging out with all of my VA buddies.

I am not going to update on much right now because I was wanting to ask everyone something. I want a Xanga sooooo bad. Xanga is like Livejournal but in my opinion, it's way cooler. I guess it hasn't hit the South yet because most people I know that have it are northerners, but hey it's all good. Go to xanga.com to check it out.

So the q is.. if I get a Xanga, would you all read it?

yeah I haven't updated in awhile. I've been soooooo busy, it's crazy. Homecoming week went over very well. Minus it not really feeling like homecoming week & being bummed about that one thing, it was nice. Seniors won spirit week, which makes me happy. We worked so hard on our hallway. I have pics if you all wanna see. Also, congrats to my girlie Ashton for winning homecoming queen. Charity, Sara, and I announced the homecoming ceremonies at the game. That's just one more thing to add on to my speaking resume'... lol.

I haven't updated since UVA. I am in love. I really am. UVA was absolutely amazing. It IS the place for me. After my info session & tour, Khalil took me around campus & showed me the library, his friend's dorm, his frat house, etc. It was a lot of fun, just being around him. The game was GREAT. We definitely picked the right day to go up there, it was gorgeous. Plus, Virginia beat Wake Forest in a close game. Jay came over to our seats during the 3rd quarter. It was also nice to see him. *sighs* I just can't explain at how relieved I felt after being there all day, I honestly didn't want to leave.

Needless to say, I am applying early decision to UVA. I mailed out my basic application & Virginia in-state privledges yesterday. I still have to mail out my three essays & first year supplement. Wish me luck. :) I will know about December 3. :) *fingers crossed* I am still keeping my options open though. Dad & I are going to Open House at UT tomorrow, so I will be leaving early in the morning. If I don't get into UVA early decision, I will be applying to UT, so we'll see I guess. A Florida State recruiter keeps calling me as well, so maybe I'll visit there too sometime. Just gotta wait & see.. lol, I HATE waiting.

MECC is going well. I am surprising myself in Pre-Cal. I actually really enjoy it. I am doing well in both Poli Sci & English, so I am pleased. At this point in my life, I am extremely happy with myself. I am taking the SAT again on Saturday and this time, I am not too nervous. I've studied alot and I feel comfortable with it. I am just going to go in there & do the best I can. *smiles* I am taking the ACT on the 25th and I am a bit nervous about it mostly because I have never taken it before.

Gymnastics is going well also. I can feel myself getting a lot stronger & quicker with my roundoff back handspring. I do have a roundoff back handspring on the tumble track, but I just can't seem to get it on the trampoline. I think the trampoline just scares me. lol. We are now into our second session and not as many people are going so we rotate really easy. This week, we only have 5 people, so we were worn out. Chick-Fila tasted so good after that, lol. Nikki & I are going to start going to aerobics & to my mom's yoga class starting on Monday. :) So if anyone wants to join us, let me know.

But anyways, I am rambling & I need to get ready for Poli Sci class. Leave me some comments guys. I miss hearing from you all & I hope all is well.

I was in the mood to rant a little, so I decided to update. :) I've missed getting the sweet comments from everybody. I don't think I have ever been this stressed in my life. Between college, school, work, cheerleading, fbla, sga, gymnastics, yearbook, and college applications - I am about to go CRAZY! Homecoming is next weekend, so I've been doing tons of work for that. It's hard to be SGA President during homecoming week I tell ya. Thank goodness I've had Amber, Ashton, & Trey to help me out. By the way, Amber, I am sorry for our little fuss today. I didn't mean to be mean or anything. You know I love you!

I am leaving for UVA after the game on Friday. *sighs* I'm stoked! I can't wait to see Khalil & everyone and just really see the school I've been dreaming about for years. Annnnddd I get to see Khalil. Sorry, I know I said that twice, but I am majorly excited. That boy means the absolute world to me. :) My parents finally get to meet him. We are going to the game on Saturday & then probably heading back because I have to work Sunday at 10:00.

I got my hair rehighlighted today. I am now back a blonde. Khalil & Ricky are going to be upset that they didn't get to see my brownish/reddish blonde hair. Oh well. I feel more me now. We have gymnastics tonight - YAY! Our squad is getting really close. I can honestly say that I love everyone on the squad. I am so glad that I cheered this year. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical about everything because I knew it would be so different from when I had Stub as a coach, but it has worked out through the months. We may have our fights, but gymnastics has really brought us all together & everything seems to be going well. So, you cheerleading gals that read this, Ches, Wendy, Christina, anyone else - I Love Ya! Annnnnndd, we are going to Fazoli's tonight too.. yum yum yum!

I never updated about this because I completely forgot, but I met Kari at the Jamboree.. a lonnnnngggg time ago. lol. I never get to read her LJ anymore, because I never ever log in except to update. But anyways, I was leaving the field & she spotted me & we talked for a little bit. She's sooo pretty & sooo sweet. So if you read this Kari, message me sometime. I miss talking to u!

but anyways, I need to go get ready for gymnastics & all that. I think Amber & I are going to the JC mall tomorrow, that is, if she is not too mad at me. :( I need to do some major shopping. Leave me some nice comments, see ya guys!

Very well said Mr. Turner. :) I just got home from college & I am worn out. I am really not excited about going to yearbook today. I have TOO much to do! Tons of pre-cal to look over for my quiz on Wednesday, a paper to write for English by Thursday, a Poli Sci quiz to study for, e-mails for FBLA to send out, etc. etc. etc. The list just goes on and on and on.

I had such a great weekend. We beat Sullivan North 48-14 Friday night. I came home straight after the game and went to sleep only to have to awaken back up at 7:00 the next morning. We went to Knoxville on Saturday. We hung out at Evan's apartment a little bit then went to West Town shopping. Then we went to the game where UT beat Marshall, 34-24. GO VOLS! After the game we sat in traffic FOREVER but luckily we had Boone, Zingo, and Evan to entertain us. We bypassed a huge waiting list at Texas Roadhouse because Boone flirted with our hostess.. lol. He even tipped her when we left. We got back home around 12:30 that night. Evan already told me he wants me to come down & hang out sometime soon, so I am definitely going to go down there for a day or two VERY soon.

I worked yesterday from 12:30 until about 6:00. I felt like I hadn't worked in ever. lol. I am now DEFINITELY going to UVA on September 27. They play Wake Forest that day, so we are going to get tickets to the game. :) I started filling out my application last night, *sighs*. I love this. I have such a busy month ahead of me. FBLA has gotten into full-swing. We have our Executive Board meeting next Wednesday at Reno's, so I am hoping everything will go smoothly. We are definitely going to Baltimore for NFLC on November 20-22. So that makes me really happy, really really happy. :) I get to see all my boys.

But anyways - speaking of FBLA, I need to go do some FBLA work before I go on to school. I'll update soon, I promise. I leave you with a quote from this weekend. It probably won't make sense to anyone, but it was one of those, you had to be there things.

I am soooo tired. I think I have been running nonstop for like the past 3 days. My stress level is to the max. :(

I worked all day. I came home for my break and fed the cats. I did actually catch the UT game a few minutes before halftime. GO VOLS! :) Missy asked me to come in at 10 in the morning to help Shawneeee open so I'll be at work until 5 tomorrow. Stephen messaged me a few minutes ago and asked me if I was working so I think maybe he's gonna stop by. I love to see people I know on stressful days at the Fish house. It just makes everything so much better. After work tonight, I proceeded to Food Lion to see Amber. We rode around a little, then hung out at Seth's with him, Chris, Brandon, Shawna, and Michael. :) It was a nice change.

Ohhhhhh yeah - we had our first game last night. We beat Lee High, 54-7. We play Sullivan North @ North next Friday and I really think we can win! :)

I got to talk to my Ace (from the real world), aka Alex today. I've really missed him, ALOT. I am visiting UVA on Sept. 27 so I am already making plans to hang out with him for awhile. I am meeting with Mr. Pippin about my future hopefully at UVA on Wednesday, *sighs*. I really cannot wait to get out of this place.

This was a pointless update, so I guess I am gonna go. I'll update tomorrow. Night guys!

College started on Monday and I am a bit stressed. I already dropped Public Speaking and I picked up Pre-Cal. I don't know if that was a mistake or not yet. I am dreading it mostly because my weakness is math, but it gives me a stepping stone to Calculus next year when I go off to school. I guess I'll update tomorrow and let you know if I survive. Other than that, English & Poli Sci are great. :) I am very pleased with both of those classes. I am also visiting my SAT tutor tomorrow morning before Pre-Cal. so much work!

FBLA is starting to get into full swing & I am already getting organized. I do believe that we are going to NFLC in Baltimore. And I think I am going to apply for a National Southern region office. I got the application from our Southern region VP yesterday and I've already started on it. So I hope I get something. *fingers crossed*

We had gymnastics tonight, but I was too sick to go. I feel AWFUL! I felt bad Monday night before practice. I got really pale & weak and today I've just felt terrible. :( But hopefully I won't feel as bad tomorrow. I am going to get some rest in a few..

I don't know who I was talking to a few days ago but I made the comment of how I wanted to go on with life.

Evan leaves to go back to UT tomorrow and I honestly wish I could go with him. It upsets me that I have to wait it out another year until I can be the one moving into college. I am not trying to waste my high school years away because I am enjoying being a senior, cheerleading, and everything that comes with it. But quoting Sara Evans, "how can you keep your feet on the ground when you know you were born to fly?"

Work is going well I suppose. Please keep the Stoots family in your prayers. Our owner passed away two nights ago, so everyone is really upset. I am going to be making a few decisions regarding that in a few weeks so everyone please pray for me as well. *sighs* The jamboree is on Friday, so I think that is what is going to get me through this week. I am excited about cheering again; I know we're going to look great.

Well I guess I am going to go on to bed, it's getting late & I'm going to get up to see Evan off in the morning. Oh yeah, a big thanks to my girl Charity for getting me through these past couple of days. I've missed you & love ya babe!

I just love being a senior, already! We started school today but lucky me doesn't have to go until 3rd block & just stay for 3rd block. :) MECC doesn't start for 2 weeks, so I get to sleep in until I go to school at 12:25 every day! *sighs* Then I get out at 2:00.
