How much did it burn you to have to say something nice about Hill? :) Happy T-day.

Good for you, Jay. Thanks for posting this.

Um, before thanking him, I think he was trying to ridicule her for her personal appearance in the photograph. Which is par for Jay.

Geez... not only must the motives of Pres. Bush be questioned every time he acts... now Jay can't even post something nice about Hillary Clinton! No good deed...

Thank God she took her bottled water with her!

Looking at Hillary in that picture, she looks like she might of chipped a tooth.

Only from past history - yes, mocking picture and then Jay can get all huffy because we misunderstood his intentions.

The Bush visit was a good thing. So was Hillary's visit.

Quick message to those who think I did this to mock Hillary Clinton: KISS MY ASS.

There's only so much idiocy and sheer pettiness I can take from some people. That's the first picture that I saw. Contrary to what some of you idiots think, I truly commend Hillary Clinton for doing what she did. And unlike you some of you idiots did with Bush, I am not writing it off as some kind of PR stunt.

Are you this petulant in real life too or is it just a blog persona? You guys must be a real hoot at parties.

You might try this picture of Hillary in Afghan eating with troops http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u;=/031127/ids_photos_wl/r1478512089.jpg

it might be better

One funny comment I've read is that they only sent Hillary as a scare tactic.

Posted by: Jane Finch on November 28, 2003 03:49 PM

Anne, what can you expect from a right-wing organization like Reuters?

Actually, I don't think she looked that goofy in the photo Jay posted - no worse than Bush in the photo below. Candid shots are rarely flattering, particularly when the person is eating. At least she didn't have cranberry sauce down the front of her shirt like I would have.

Good for her, and for Bush, for going.

I'm not sure why over-reading into the picture you happened to find is idiotic, although it is an inference beyond your anodyne text, certainly.

Or, for that matter, why those who find Bush more suspect as to motives than you seem to, and therefore disagree about the proper interpretation and reaction to his trip, are idiots. Unless disagreeing with you is ipso facto a sign of idiocy. Is that your position?

Actually, I think this is the news picture they had up of Hillary..on some vast right wing media site http://my.core.com/~oldgrendel/hillarybird.gif

Posted by: Anne on November 28, 2003 05:31 PM

What's wrong with the pic? She's eating & listening to soldiers talk, so she's apt to show emotion during the process.

Good lord, people, I know the Bush visit has sent many over the proverbial edge, but lighten up!!! You can't even give kudos without alterior motives? Trust me, an embarrassing pic of Hillary isn't hard to find & that wasn't one of them.

Jeez....

Crass Publicity stunt #2.

It looks like one of the soldiers goosed her...
