product endorsement!

this weekend i had a violent headcold. i saw a commercial for zicam, which advertises itself as a way to get over your cold uberfast. i thought "what the hell. i tried everything else."

i bought some, i took some, and ye-hah, it did what it said it would do.
this shit works my friends. and it works well.

(i'm not being paid to type this.)

oh, one warning. if you buy the tablets that are cherry flavored, they aren't. the real flavor is splenda tainted vitamins. just so you know.

my review of matrix revolutions

a big geek lives here.

yes, at 9am this morning, along with a large number of geeks around the world (most of them male judging by the theater i was in) i saw matrix revolutions. my review is as follows:

i have no idea what i just viewed. i only know that i liked it.

to the reviewers who say that the film had no plot, i say what the fuck? did we see the same movie? the film had so much plot that i am still thinking about it hours later. judging by my reaction to reloaded, i'll probably be thinking about it until next week. each character had a purpose, though really it wasn't until the entire film unfolded that i could begin to understand what their purposes were.

strangely, the cgi in this film flowed better than in reloaded, even though they are supposed to be one film. i didn't mind. breaking the movies up would give the viewer a nice break than if one sat in the theater for 5 hours straight. hey, that rhymed.

so in conclusion (heh), yes, sometimes the characters can be so serious they're silly, especially neo, but in his case one must remember what the oracle said in the original movie: he's not the swiftest guy (mentally), people. he's mainly good at reacting really fast (and beating people up, and flying, etc.). it's entertaining to see him come to the conclusions the viewers have minutes later than he should have. i enjoyed the movie, even if i don't really have much idea what happened yet.

and even if you're not into the whole religious/philosophy stuff, there's some wicked cool fight scenes.

dear god, two posts in the same hour? it can't be!

so i was checking out my student details in my transcript thingy i got from the history department, and i see my graduation date: december 18, 2006. userinfosleepypawn tells me that she'll be done with grad school by then. i am never leaving this place.

speaking of userinfosleepypawn, how are your kidneys?

oh oh, i have something else to say, too! what a prolific day for me. damn.

anyhow, halloween night the barn did our 2nd annual trail ride to disaster, and yep, it was. there were three of us this time, and we all dressed as princesses on crack. i called my princess courtney love. amy rode shalimar, the 40 year old horse with one eye, and put a paper towel cardboard thing on her forelock and called it a unicorn horn. some random people drove up and took our picture, which was fun. and random. it was all fine and dandy until a giant garbage truck drove by at 50 mph blaring its horn and freaking the shit out of my horse, who bolted and acted like a total dumbass for the rest of the ride. when i asked amy how i can make phoenix less scared of cars, she said something like "get a new horse." well, that pissed me off to no end, pretty much for the entire weekend, as well. i can't really say anything to her about it, since she's my boss and all, but damn, bitch. that was harsh. not everyone can buy and sell horses left and right like she can. and my personal opinion is that she shouldn't, anyhow. huh, 3 days later and i'm still kind of mad.

well, off to class and then to cassies, and then tomorrow to matrix revolutions. bitch.

i almost was in a car accident this morning.

when i say almost, i mean that if the car in front of me had been 2 inches left, it wouldn't have been almost anymore.

so i'm on roswell road, driving as i often do, and traffic slows all the cars down. this lady comes in front of me to turn (she forced her way in front of me 'cause dammit, i was late and not in the mood to let anyone in front of me) and she's cursing me out for what happened in the parentheses, so she's not paying attention when she slams into the guy that's driving down the turn lane in the median.

it didn't even make the crash sound i was expecting. it made a scriffft sound when she sheared off the side paneling of the passenger side door of the other car. they get both of the cars out of the way and i continue on to school, where i perform poorly on my art history exam because i spent all day yesterday lifting heavy boxes instead of studying.

it was kinda weird.

PSA:

I no longer have my cellular phone. I lost it on a ride at Six Flags yesterday. I canceled the number and soon (?) will have a new number + phone to get all the adoring calls that I usually receive. The only thing that bugs me is that I wished with all my heart that I could run my phone over with my car when I finally got a better one. Oh well.

I'm a cofounder of the soon to exist Literary Society of GSU. This is hilarious to me, since this idea started out as a sorority called Beta Mu Alpha, or Bite My Ass. Seriously. That's half the things we talk about in our almost-chartered Society - how to work the phrase "bite my ass" into anything we discuss. It's great.

PSA

A few days ago I recieved a text message on my phone beginning with the word "motherfucker." My phone would not tell me who it was from, so I'm assuming it was unimportant. However, if I was mistaken and it was the secret to life, the universe, and everything, please tell me if you sent it.

That is all.

everything just feels like rain

Finished essay. Exactly 3 pages. The main topic of my essay was bullshit. I'm sure I'll get a fantabulous grade on it.

New topic:

St. Anger by Metallica is/is not the worst song of 2003 thus far. Discuss.

I never realized until just now how many times I've been hit in the face at work. It's gotta happen at least once a week. My glasses are pretty damn crooked for that reason, now that I mention it.

open invitation.

Ahem. So, for my birthday, my parents took me on a cattle round-up in Colorado. I got some great pictures of said cattle drive and put them on an online photo album. If anyone would like to see them, comment and I will mail you the guest password to view the photos.
