Retraction
about Bloomberg and Outsourcing
By STANDARD SCHAEFER
Dear Readers,
In a recent story about the growing trend
in outsourcing, I drew from many sources, the first of which
was one about IBM's recent exporting of jobs to India that was
first published by Bloomberg news. As I double-checked the growth
trend in outsourcing, I muddled my sources and took
Bloomberg to task about things actually reported by several other
news services, particularly one story by Andrea
Ahles, a Star-Telegram Staff Writer. While the trend in outsourcing
is a serious one, growing faster all the time
according to Forrester Research, it appears that I must retract
the story. In my zeal, I rushed the story and bungled
it. I apologize for my haste and vow much more careful work
in the future.
Sincerely,
Standard Schaefer
