it's thursday again. i've been 19 for a week. i don't feel like doing a birthday update. i have airsoft stuff being mailed here. it just stopped off in alaska. weird.

i beat max payne 2 about 20 minutes ago."it felt good. like i did the right thing. like when the rubble settled and the bodies were covered in the grave, that i had chosen the right path. the casing now had stopped falling for good, things were how they should be.

you know, i played the demo of the original. it was good. i wanted to get it, but never did. sad.

the starbucks disctrict rolled out a new employee award today. the "random acts of coffee passion" pin, designed by the DM my distrct is in. it will probably, like the rest of the award pins, phase into a company-wide thing. today our DM was at the pre-holidy store meeting for our store, and awarded myself and a co-worker the first of these pins. out of the nearly 50,000 (i think that's right...we've got about 6.5k stores) sbux employees, i mark one of the first two to recieve the pin.
i think that just absolutely rocks. if i can find someone with a digicam i'll get a pic of the pin and post it. (and we got new holiday t-shirts today... candy apple red, on the back they say 'everday magic' and the front has a snowflake and some stupid 12-days of christmas ripoff: different for each store, ours says 'nine dazzling dancers')

so, yeah... good day. i have a meeting with the DM on monday, too.

there is some other stuff going on in life that isn't so great (gene, mai) but i don't want to discuss it. just noting it here so i can be sure i'll remember if i read the entry later in life.

birthday soon. inf2.9 soon. the two are only a few days apart, infact.

i love christmas... big store christmas party gonna happy. i'll post in the info here. we'll be having a good ole time, so when i post it i expect everyone to show. =D

i began highschool as a fair non-social creature.

i ended highschool as decently social.

now it's college, and i'm fed up with people.

after a good deal of thinking about it, i decided to change my plans. original plan was just to move to NC and leave everyone in the dark about getting in touch with me.
that wouldn't be very nice.
so i've been trying to figure out how i can slowly remove myself from being a social person and seclude myself to a small, close group of people i communicate with so that i may live my life in peace, and become a productive individual (which i definately am not now).
thus, this is the low-down...

by o1.nov.2oo3 mentalpikture.net will no longer be on the web. it will come down, and i will let the domain name expire. this, of course, means my email address will also change. note:: it will be replaced by another domain/site, which will not be published
by o1.jan.2oo4 i will have switched over to using a different AIM name. i will probably also develop an ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo! account with the same username, whatever it may be. the new name will be given to the few and privledged.
by o1.jan.2oo5 i will have moved to north carolina. thus changing my address and telephone numbers.

sounds kind of extreme, i know. but i just am ready to move on in my life, and i'm having trouble doing it. so i've decided i'm going to kill any other options i may have. here's the real kick in the pants, though...
beginning o1.oct.2oo3 my livejournal account will become friends-only.

so that will be your first indicator in if you're going to be one of the privledged that recieves all my other info. if you're on my friends list come the morning of october first, then you might be given all the new stuff. might. there are a few people that will definately be in the know, of course. stephen, zach, john, katie.
the rest, well... i guess you'll just find out if it's you when the time comes.

keep in mind this isn't because i'm mean.
it's not because i hate the world.
it's not because i feel pestered or bothered.
it's because i'm ready for change, and i'm ready to move on.
because i'm ready to simplify my life.
because highschool is over, it's time to be an adult.
because i need to evaulate things.
