I am passionate about the things I care about, and I feel that expressing opinions in a constructive, positive way is one of the most important things we can do. If you find yourself angered by my words, or offended... I will be surprised, because my words are not intended in that way, and I try to be careful not to wound with the things I say.
You are welcome to disagree with me. You are welcome to express your own alternate opinions... invited, even!
That said, you will find in my journal... me. My lists of things to do, my fears and worries. The things that make me angry. The things that I wish I could do. The things that make me sad. You'll find my dreams and my grocery lists.
Why do I write these things here?
Because I can. I like to keep a journal, but don't have time for a paper copy, and I want to leave the world a little taste of Ellen in my wake. Because I like the brushing of human contact that I see in livejournal. Because I'm disorganized, and want my lists where I can find them all. And because many of my friends are here, and I am fascinated by their complexity. |
