this weekend has been so nice. luke and i moved into our new place on saturday (with the help of his brother and brother in law and his mother). this place is so nice. we don't have enough stuff to fill it! it's quiet and comfortable and is already feeling like home. Luke walks around the place smiling and he keeps repeating "i love it here!" i really feel like living here is a good start to us getting married!
i'm excited because i get to start registering! i will be registering at target and one ither place, maybe a bedroom store so we can get bedroom stuff.... hmmmm, any suggestions? |

COUNT RUGEN Good heavens ... are you still trying to win? You've got an overdeveloped sense of vengeance. It's going to get you into trouble someday. COUNT RUGEN tries to slash INIGO through the heart, but INIGO blocks the attack - only his arm is stabbed. INIGO Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You Killed my father. Prepare to die. [He stumbles, holding his stomach. They exchange attacks.] Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. [Gaining strength, he fiercely lunges at COUNT RUGEN as he yells:] Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya! You killed my father! Prepare to die! COUNT RUGEN [Frightened] Stop saying that! INIGO [Enraged] Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya! You killed my father! Prepare to die! [He corners COUNT RUGEN and slashes his cheek] Offer me money! [He slashes his other cheek.] COUNT RUGEN All that I have and more! Please! INIGO Offer me anything I ask for! COUNT RUGEN Anything you want! [He tries a quick move on INIGO] INIGO [Plunging his sword into COUNT RUGEN's chest] I want my father back, you son of a bitch! COUNT RUGEN falls to the floor, dead. INIGO runs off to find WESTLEY. |

luke and i want to move very badly. every week we see a cop drive through our comlex looking for someone or the drug dog is out, sniffing around. We had to call the cops on some creeping drugged up guy wandering around the complex looking for "juan". he needed something to build aparently. anyway. i hate our apartment. we found a 2 bedroom duplex in salem that is very cute. 2 bedrooms, one bath, kitchen, dining room, sunken in living room, fireplace, built in bookshelf, patio, and a garage. everything we've been looking for. it's $595 a month. I just hope we get this place. it will be a good start to us "getting back on our feet". |

the wedding is coming right along now. lukes freaking out because it dawned on him that it is only four and a half months away. i get to spend the next two weeks focusing mainly on the wedding, so hopefully even more will get done.
i am off for two weeks from work because in order for me to get a raise, i have to be terminated for at least two weeks and then get hired back on. this is all thanks to my regional manager who doesn't think i am so important to the company that i deserve a raise. Even though i have been at the same store for two years and have worked very hard and know so much about the store. But oh well, if this is what needs to be done to get around my regional manager, then so be it. Because when i get hired back on, i will be making $1.40 more than what i am now.
Also, i start a new job at motherhood. In march the company is launching a new label to be sold at participating sears stores and i get to be the MSR. the Motherhood Store Represntative. I basically do all the marketing and paperwork for the department. I'm not sure about all the details, but i am excited to find out! |

last week a lady came into my store asking questions about maternity clothes. she said her daughter was pregnant and wanted to check out the clothes. she asked for the manager's name and the stote number and my name, too. so she could tell her daughter where to shop. well, she called last saturday telling me how impressed she was with me and how she wanted to meet with me for a job interview. i said why not. it will be interesting to find out what kind of position she is offering and how much $$. so i am meeting her at barnes and noble today. we shall see how it will go.
on a side note: i found the Princess Bride on DVD for 4.99 at Kmart saturday! |

since only one person wanted to fill out my survey two posts ago, i decided i am going to write my sociology paper about my breasts and the sociological effect they have on the world. or at least my world. it should be interesting what my teacher thinks about it.
i feel so stressed out about my wedding. its about that time where i should not only have a reception hall, but a caterer, a cake person, and save the date magnets ready to be sent out. yeah, none of this is done yet.... |

ok, i know thousands of people read my livejournal (not) so of the few that actually do, please answer these questions so i can use them in a sociology essay.
1) where did you learn the expectations of gender?
2) how and who did you learn the expectations from?
3) what has the media taught you about gender roles/ differences/ stereotypes etc..?
4) what are your expectations for different genders?
this could be neat if i get more than 2 replies. if you don't want people seeing your answers, e-mail me. |

i almost believe luke has a curse on him. his bad luck wins again. we went to go pick up his precscription of lamictal (his epilepsy medication) at walgreens yesterday and this is the first time we've had the presctiption filled. the doctor gave him a free sample to start out. the lady at the counter ran lukes info and all that good stuff then asks us if the dorctor explained to us how expensive the drug was. well, he didn't. the prescription w/out copay is $231! luke's insurance only pays about $35 of that. we would still need to pay $195 every month!!!! we CANNOT afford that. no way. so i called the doctor today, but he wasn't in. hopefully he will have a solution to this problem. |

alright, heres the story: monday luke was told at work to go to the production line. if anyone understands factory work, production lines are slacker work and a huge step down from welding. the boss's reasons for putting luke at production are because he is hard-working, loyal, and tall. yes, i said tall. when luke questioned the reasons and asked to talk to a mamager, the manager told him to go clock out. when asked why clock out, were they firing him, the manager replied yes. Luke was unjustly fired from a job he actually liked and wanted to stay at long-term. we contacted his temp-agency and they were left baffled. fortunetly they are a great temp-agency and had a welding test tined up for him by wednesday. wednesday he got a job in Brooks working as a welder at Pacific Stairways. he now makes $.25 more an hour than he did at his other job. he won't have to work saturdays, either. |

alright. today is oct 8th, 2004. this means....253 days left until i am married! crazy. i've ordered the dress, picked out the bridesmaid dresses, picked my colors, found a ceremony site, and a reception site. i was talking to michelle yesterday and she was asking me all these questions like what are you going to serve as food? how many tables will there be? are you going to have dancing? i was feeling a little overwhelmed. i don't know the answers to these questions. i do know that i have made it very hard to have a traditional reception because it can only be 2 hrs long. so i think this might veto the idea for dancing and maybe just play background music. i know this will make luke feel alot better. anyway. i'm getting sick of planning my wedding already. maybe i should have just eloped. |

monday luke had a doctors appointment to find out more about his epilepsy. the new doctors that my mom found for him were so nice and actually explained everything to him. it turns out he has the most dangerous type of epilepsy because he could go for years without having a seizure and then out of the blue have 1 or 2 or 3 in a month's time. so he will have to be on medication for the rest of his life. the cool thing is that the doctors gave him a 5 week sample of medicine and luke should definitly have health insurance by then and we will be able to afford his medication!!! yay! everything is going so well for us!
luke finally has a well paying job, he will be able to ge this license back in a month or two, he will have health benefits, we have a church and reception hall for the wedding and we are taking the necessary steps to get married in the catholic church! hopefully everything stays this good! (knock on wood!) |

i so happy to announce that luke got a job. and it is actually right here in canby. he was hired at bbc steel (on township, across from the cemetery). this means maybe a movie to canby. we have discussed maybe moving in w/ my parents to save money for the wedding, but i don't know. it's such a big convienence with my mom being home all day every day, and my dad wants us in two seperate rooms. i don't know. at this point all we can afford is an apartment for $425 a month, and where can you find that in canby?
wedding plans are slowly rolling. i haven't done much. i still need to find a place to hold the wedding. once we figure that out, i can figure everything else out....... |
