Woman killed her kids found to be insane...response from public: DUH.
She still needs to be locked away in some sort of a facility, if she's not going to go to prison.

Riddle me this... | Mar. 29th, 2004 @ 09:39 am |

What is the point of doing performance evaluations? Specifically, why make ME fill out how I met objectives in 2003, when no objectives were ever set? I admit thought, it's amusing filling out the part myself that my manager is supposed to be filling out.
Oh yeah, wtf is the point, if we're not getting raises? Oh, right, we're supposed to be "standardizing the positions." Mmhmmm. I wonder if we're even going to get bonuses this year, like we did last year (bonuses instead of raises). Of course, directors and above have already gotten their bonuses and raises for the year...it's just the employees who are going on the 2nd (and in some cases, 3rd) consecutive years of no raises. We were told if we just hung in and rode out last year that we would be rewarded. Mmhmm.
bleh.
Oh, yeah, found my now cancelled checkcard. It was in one of the dog beds and chewed all to hell. Still wondering how they got it out of my pants/purse and why they did that. They've never chewed on plastic before.Current Mood: cynical

» Isn't the Constitution supposed to protect our basic human rights? |
Taken from an email forwarded to me this morning. It's painless to do this. Takes less than a minute.
URGENT - Call the HRC Action Line today at 1-800-509-0176 and then forward this e-mail to your friends.
We have set up the HRC Action Line - a toll-free number to allow you to call your member of Congress at this critical time.
What's happening: this week, the United States Senate held their third hearing on efforts to write discrimination against same sex couples into the Constitution. Next week the House will be holding their first in a series of hearings on efforts to change the constitution - and a vote seems likely to happen by the end of the summer in Congress. It's critical that we get as many calls into congressional offices now in order to demonstrate strong opposition to any effort to change the constitution.
Call the HRC Action Line at 1-800-509-0176. You will be prompted to enter your ZIP code.
Keep these talking points in front of you when you make the call. Tell your Member of Congress:
You oppose the Federal Marriage Amendment, and you urge them to oppose this legislation - and ANY amendment to the Constitution on marriage; These amendments would write discrimination into the Constitution - constitutional amendments have historically been about protecting and expanding rights, not about discrimination The HRC Action Line will only be active from now until Friday - so please call 1-800-509-0176 today!

Stupid hosed IE. It's not letting me save/view favorites. I have no short term memory lately so I have to make notes for myself or I'll forget. *sigh*

Forwarded from a friend...
Iraq's New Constitution Insight
"They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq. Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys. It's worked for over 200 years and gosh, we're not using it anymore."
**** Personally, I vote for kicking the lot of them out of Congress and starting over. :)
