1:43 pm - Merry Xmas
|
Well, a lot of family came over and we all opened gifts. Honestly, my gifts were kinda weird. Like, I got a toolbox full of tools, and a pasta strainer and a pasta cooking pot. Kinda odd... I also got 14 pairs of socks. Everyone hates my white socks. Boo. Anyhow, my baby bro and sis got play-doh so I made this cute snowman, with a top-hat and all. Then I busted his gut open.
Merry Xmas, my livejournal friends.

11:30 pm - Friends
|
I want more friends. To be a chosen in my exclusive clique of friends, you must have at least a few of the following attributes:
1. Be hot ;) 2. Be extremely intelligent 3. Write creative, entertaining journal entries 4. Keep quizes to a minimum 5. Update a maximum of two or three times a day, preferably less 6. Live in the NYC area (not necessary, but its a good thing) 7. Live outside of the NYC area, and let me come visit you one day :) 8. Comment in my journal 9. Show potential to be a real friend, in real life as well as in livejournal
Thanks! Im currently accepting applications. :) Please, do not be offended if you aren't chosen. :( Its hard for me to keep up with as many lives as I already read about, let alone more. However, I dont wanna miss out on any other potentially awesome people.

4:03 pm - My room
|
I picked out the colors/finishes/materials that I want in my bedroom. The room is be a very light oak or pine, brushed steel or silver, and blue. Basically, I want my room to look like something that that cute gaysian on Trading Spaces would design. Im excited. :)
Yay for light woods, silver, and blue. :)

March 6, 2000
Love. Suicide
I gave you orchids And kissed your hand My blood ran in rivers And covered the landscape In the fire of my love
I promised you everything And gave you orchids My blood ran in rivers And I slit my wrists On the thorns of your love
I touched your lips And my blood ran in rivers Coursed over your curves And I slit my wrists And kissed your lips
I sought the eternity of death And drowned in its depths So that I could love you forever And in the shadows of your heart My love will never fade

Hm, is there a way to add someone as a friend, but make it so that you dont see their entries when you're looking at your Friends recent journal entries?

|
Today I went to poke the straw into a Capri Sun and it went right through the hole and through the entire juice pouch. Lemonade was everywhere. I was trying to block off the holes, but there were two holes, and half the pouch was on the floor before I got it to the sink. Sucks.

6:48 pm - Notice to LJ users
|
Just a public notice:
Yes, a public entry. Anyhow, occasionally a really cool person will add me as a friend, and I'll want to add them back, but I wont, because they update their journal 10 times a day. Now, even though I could just skip half their entries, for the sake of time, I still won't add that person cause they'd screw up my friends list. That is to say, I read everyone's journals by linking to my own and then clicking on "My Friends" or whatnot. If one person updates 10 times a day, I end up missing posts by the people who update less often. Thus, I apologize to anyone who does not get added as a friend due to their posting habits. And yes, I know its my loss, not yours.
R.

You are Gladiator Orrak Mirab'ilis, a Rakash. You have blue eyes. Your silver hair is short and straight, and is worn arranged in oiled spikes. You have tanned skin. You have a jagged pattern of painted iridescent blue lightning bolts radiating up your forehead.
You are holding a jousting shield in your left hand. You are wearing a heavy-banded sterling silver ring embracing a blood red ruby, a studded greatsword harness, some thick hiking boots with polished brass buckles, a black oak amulet carved in the shape of a wolf, some padded leather hunters, a jet black bear-hide sack, a small pitted silver amulet in the shape of a human skull, some dark leather pants cinched with braided leather, a hooded journeyman's cloak made of dark hides and lined with black fur, a deep sable three-forked sword belt with brass buckles and fittings, a large spidersilk sack, a simple onyx bracer with burnished silver inlay, a rough leather grooming kit, a curled dragon ring forged of polished silver, a spidersilk reticule, and a darkened leather hunter's pack clasped with a black crescent moon.

7:58 pm - Big Ol' Fuck You
|
Thanks to a certain bitch who reads my journal without my knowledge, and then calls people on the phone to tell them what I say about them in my journal, my journal will now be friends-only, at least for a few months. I know I shouldnt talk shit about people in a semi-public forum, but well, its my journal. So a big FUCK YOU to that girl. And just let me know if you're not on my friends list and want to read future entries.

Heh. So where was I? Thursday I went and chilled with the girls and sat around and did nothing. They went out drinking, but I had my meeting with the staffing agent the next morning so I went back to my room. Friday I went down to Wall Street to the staffing agency. They gave me tests to test my abilities in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. I did very well on all of them. They also gave me a typing test. 92 words per minute. Im very happy with my score, although broke 100 words per minute once in high school. Well the guy forwarded my resume to some company in Jersey City, and I'll hear back from him on Monday. Today I sat around and did hw all day. My finance professor gave me the biggest pain in the ass take home test ever. He completely never explained how to find the numbers he wants us to find, and its not in the book. I swear, I spent 8 hours working on it in the last two days, and there's still 3 out of 44 questions that I cant answer. Whatever. I'll probably get like half of it wrong anyway, so Im not gonna bother wasting any more time on it.

So yeah, its snowing quite a bit. When I woke up this morning at 8am, it had just begun to flurry. Its like 5pm now and we've gotten like 5 inches here. Classes were canceled for the afternoon, not that it helped me, since I have all morning classes. Additionally, I had a term paper due today, but my teacher just didnt show up. I went to his office but no one was there, and I didnt think to drop the paper off in his mailbox a floor below him, so I have to go back probably tomorrow, being that I dont want to go back outside into the snow and cold. If he marks it late, whatever. He's the one who didnt show up for class, not me.
I got a call from a staffing agency today based on Wall Street. Its for a job in Jersey City, though. Do I want to work in Jersey City? Who knows. But Im going in for an interview tomorrow morning. I really need a job, and I'll basically take anything right now. As long as its paying at least mid 30s, that is. This job search crap SUCKS. Like, its horrible. Ugh. School is SO much easier than finding a job.

1:10 am - Lose yourself in the music the moment
|
Its the end of the semester, so that means that in addition to my job search, I also have to deal with a ton of final projects and papers and then final exams.
Today, I got done with 8 pages of a paper discussing the debate over the UK's adoption of the euro. I also studied for a Business Policy exam I have tomorrow. And surprisingly, I was able to finish an MS Access database that I have due on Thursday. Im so happy the database is done, I didnt expect it to be so easy. Tomorrow, I'll finish my UK/euro paper. Then I'll spend the rest of the week working on my business policy paper on Dell Computers and supply chain logistics, and create my powerpoint presentation for that. Plus I *might* have another powerpoint presentation to do on Delta Airlines, but Im hoping that we wont have time for presentations in my economics class. Keep ur fingers crossed for me.
Anyways, I gotta sleep.
