ART UPDATE

finished up a cute commission, it's a cross between a rabbit and a dragon. the photos didn't come out too well, he was hard to photograph. he's actually taller than he looks, the pictures make him look squat. he has pink toe pads too, that you can't see from the photos.

he's hiding back here )

feedback is appreciated, as always :)

feedback is very much appreciated.

EDIT: got rid of the otter because i don't like it anymore, and it didn't belong anyway.

my powerbook died again, and i can't afford to fix it. i have it up for auction on ebay, if you know anyone that wants a computer they can fix

wow, thanks so much, everyone, for all the wonderful comments! i hope i didn't make anyone feel bad for not commenting or anything, i just wanted everyone to know how much your opinions mean to me.

today we went to the brevard zoo, and it was just lovely! a lot better than the central florida zoo. it was a very very nice place...we took a bunch of photos, but none of them came out all that great. we saw golden eagles close up, which made me happy. and they had a peppy red tailed hawk. the bald eagles were a bit sickly looking, but then again they usually are in captivity i've noticed :/ and a cute dingo! red wolves, gray foxes, BEARDED BARBETTS ;) i'd liek to go back there again.

and then we went over to p42's grandparents place for mother's day chinese take out dinner ;) i fell in love with his grandmother's new puppy, benji, the fox terrier.

p42 got some great photos! )

ART UPDATE

ok, i painstakingly finished up 10 gryphon incense burners yesterday...painting those thin hieroglyphs and accenting all the feathers was VERY mind numbing. and when i am done i always feel like "all that work, and i still only have 10" XD

anyways, here's the final product.

raesh the egyptian gryphon )

$25 each.

feedback is much much appreciated.

he's about 6 inches long and burns stick incense. i drilled holes in the actually "holder" part so that the incense angles away from the gryphon. people will have to use a small plate with this to catch the ashes. unelss you are like me and just let the ashes fall all over the place XD i wanted to make it with an extended part that goes out to catch the ash, but that would have made this more difficult to mold and cast, and i think it just would have looked dumb.

also, i tested the dragon incences burners, and the varnish DID liquify. but all is well because i bought fireproof varnish earlier this week. cost me a pretty penny, and you have to wait 10 days for it to dry!! 10!!! but it is resistant up to 350 degrees it says so it should be good.

one more set of minis, and 3 message critters to go...

ART UPDATE

Happy Mother's Day! i know some of you hate today, but i adore my mother and i think she is the bestest there is! i sculpted her 2 chihuahuas for her, and the anatomy is way off. they were a lot harder to sculpt than i thought. i hate how all breeds of dogs are structured so differently!! ah well, it still turned out pretty cute :)

paco and sammy are back here )

i noticed not as many people have been commenting on my art lately. i dunno if everyone is just busy or what, but i'd like to take the time to say that i REALLY would appreciate anything that you have to say. i really like knowing what you all think :) your opinions are important to me.

gryphon incense burner will be posted in a bit.

i'm in an old skool mood...it used to be all i listened to, before hardcore. hardcore has it's roots in old skool though, which is prolly why i am so fond of it :)

Feel Real Free 2.9MB...This just makes me happy :) An older hardcore song.

Injected With A Poison 5MB...This is actually a hardcore remix of an old skool song. i used to listen to the original of this song alllll the time, especially when i was delivering pizzas. my friend sherree and i would listen to it in the car on repeat real loud and sing along. ah, memories.

Trip II the Moon (Parts 1&2) 7.2 MB...This is a really old song, and is one of my long time favorites. Very breakbeat-ish.
