I'm looking for a larger copy of one of the user pictures on the community page... the black and white pic where patton is sitting on a sidewalk with a lakers shirt on. Someone help! Post it if you have it, or just send me a link. Thanks!

kenscanna
Hey

So i just got a whole load of songs from the new Fantomas Album "Suspended Animation" (live ones!)

THEY ARE AMAZING, totally heading back to the first album but with these cool Warner Bros style cartoon samples all over the place!

I now CANNOT wait, it sounds less dense than Delirium!

Anybody hear that new Eyvind Kang album, "Virginal Co-ordinates?" I'm listening to it now. Mike Patton is not a constant presence, but that almost makes it all the more better. Leaves me wanting more, so I keep listening to the album.

Very different than anything I've heard Patton do. If you like instrumental/classical music, check it out. It's a great album of avant garde classical music pieces inspired by traditional Japanese music, which by itself is awesome...and then Patton's voice appears to make it even better! Patton with an orchestra...and I thought Lovage was a surprise.

Patton is collaborating with Bjork on her new album "Medulla" Its going to be all voice and no instruments. Other artists are also going to be on there like Rahzel and Dokaka!!

3:19 pm - FANTOMAS!

kenscanna
WOOOO!

i just saw Fantomas in Paris, they played most of Delirium Cordia, by far the best show i have seen of theirs, blatantly aimed more at the zornists than the faith no morists!

they did a crazy encore playing all the best bits from the first rekkid and interspersed the first bit with all the quieter sonds from the second rekkid!

i missed flat earth society cos we were attempting to buy tickets from touts (40 euro's a head grrr)

anyways, how was the UK show on the 29th?

9:21 pm - did you know...?

pseudoscience
The following is translated from the Icelandic local newspaper Morgunblaðið:

"Björk is now in London finalizing her upcoming album The Lake Experience, which is expected to be released later this year. The album has no instruments, every single beat and backround music is done by the voices of Björk and her cooperatives. Among those who contribute their voices to this project are; Dokaka (the Japanese voice-artist), Mike Patton (lead singer of Fantomas) and the Canadian singer Tagaq. Also appearing: Mark Bell, Rahzel and an Icelandic choir, specially formed for performing on this album."

Im thinking about buying the Kid 606 album, "Down With the Scene". Is Mike Patton on that cd a lot. I just checked half.com, and it says that Mike Patton is on vocals and keyboards. Is he? Should I buy it?
