Maybe he meant he's taken no money from the PAC-10?
Posted by NTodd at February 29, 2004 03:13 PMOr just flat out lied thinking no one would bother to check.

Posted by Hal at February 29, 2004 07:43 PMHm. When I first read it I read it literally - "Corporate PACs have given $1.2 billion to campaigns and parties since 1990. Not one dime has gone to John Kerry." Not all PACs, but corporate PACs. That would eliminate (although I've never heard of these organizations, so I don't know for sure) every one but "FLORIDA CRYSTALS INC." Is that a corporate pac or a different sort with a really bad name?

Yes, but the very first sentence also says "John Kerry has not taken a dime of PAC money during his four Senate elections or during his presidential race." --- which makes no distinction between corporate or other PACs....

Posted by N.Z. Bear at March 1, 2004 06:58 AMWell, maybe, maybe they paid with checks or folding money or quarters or pennies but NOT with the small silver coins which are worth ten cents. And he meant it in the literal 'it depends on what the definition of "is" is' way.
Just my $0.02
Posted by SpaceMonkey at March 3, 2004 07:04 AMJohn Kerry is a pathological liar as are many ultra liberal politicians. It's the only way they can get votes. How else do you explain to a Nebraska farmer why his hard earned tax dollars are used to keep his son out of the school of his choice because of racial quotas?
Granted, most politicians on both sides lie, but the Democrats seem to have a real gift for it, Kerry included.
Case in point: Kerry attends meetings where the assassinations of United States Senators are discussed. Although he resigned, it took him three days to do so which raises more than a few eyebrows. Then when asked, he outright lied and said he was never there.
The FBI says otherwise.
