Black Women are Beautiful. So how come you don't see them in Science-Fiction?
Less than 9% of Science-Fiction television series have featured black women as main characters. And that is assuming you were to count recurring characters who were usually tossed in the background.

 Deborah Pratt
|
"How can you say that Deborah Pratt who played Marella [on Airwolf] isn't a main character? I know that Deborah Pratt was married to Don Bellisario [the Producer of Quantum Leap]."
-James K.
To the best of our knowledge, Deborah Pratt, who also wrote about 20 episodes of Quantum Leap, is mixed race. We have come to this theory based on a variety of reasons, the biggest evidence is the Quantum Leap episode "A Portrait for Troian", in which she played Troian whose husband, brother, and ancestors were white. Not one reference was ever made about her skin color, showing she was being passed off as white in this episode.
