Congrats to Kos, who has got himself a baby. On a side note, that baby is over 8 pounds -- that is a huge baby. And considering neither Kos nor his wife are big people...it seems kinda strange.
little parents equals little baby doesn't work. My wife and I are short and tubby (we are active so we are not fat!) but my first boy was 6lbs 8oz or so...and really long. He is still long and skinny, we have to buy him wrangler cowboy pants so they stay on his (lack-of) butt.

My friend's step mother gave birth to a 9 pounder, and when we went to see the baby in the hospital, there was a 6'3" tall gentleman going to see his wife, who had just given birth to an 11 pound and change infant (it was long, too...I forget how long, tho). In the father's own words "We already have a few college football programs looking at him".
I myself was born a month early, and weighed in at a bit under 6 pounds. I am now 4 inches taller than anyone else in my family (altho that doesn't mean much, as my brother is the next tallest at 5'4" or so.).
